Premier Inn Bath City Centre

Terrible experience – do not stay here! I stayed at this hotel for one night, and that was more than enough. The place was dirty and nothing like the photos online – those are clearly outdated or heavily edited. The room was unclean, with dust everywhere and stained bed sheets. The bathroom was disgusting, with mold in the shower, a bad smell, and old, rough towels. We had an issue with the heating – the warm air conditioning wasn’t working, and it was freezing in the room. We called the receptionist three times before anyone showed up. Each time we were told, “15-20 minutes,” but no one came until our third call. Completely unacceptable. There was no receptionist at the front desk at any point – every interaction required calling someone who clearly didn’t care about helping guests. Zero professionalism. The walls were paper-thin, so you could hear everything from the rooms next door. The air conditioning unit made a loud, constant noise all night, and the mattress was old and extremely uncomfortable. Overall, the place felt neglected and poorly managed. Definitely one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. Avoid at all costs.

This is a great hotel if you want to stay very centrally in Bath. We travelled by train and so it was lovely to only have a short walk to any of the places we wanted to visit. Very friendly and helpful reception staff. A quiet nights sleep.

I have bever stayed in a premier inn before so therefore didn't know about putting card in light slot ( should have been told when checking in I feel). I had to cone down and ask . But the most upsetting part of my stay was roo. Not cleaned properly, dirty cups left on table . And on my last night I found a pair of dirty socks IN MY BED !!!!! Releasing the duvet to pull up as I was cold, and I came across dirty socks!!! We're my shorts changed at all from last person staying in that room ? I will stay in a prem inn again though as breakfast was good and room was a nice comfortable size.

We booked a two night stay. Everything was terrible. First, there is no active receptionist seated, you need to make a call to get one on site, second, the rooms are noisy coming from a central air vacuum chamber. Aside the noise produce, it also get very cold at night and since you cannot control this air vacuum chamber, you have endure through the stay. Thirdly, the alarm bells. Those bells can wipe your ears off. In our case, there was an incident of fire alarm as a result of someone smoking in one of the rooms. The incident happen at 22-23 hours. We needed to stay out for extra 2 hours to get the alarms fixed. Then there is also the case of your bathroom soap getting finished in the middle of your bath. In our case, we have to rush to the receptionist to request refill. However, the receptionist could only offer some shampoo in a disposable cup to us. That became our soap until we departed. Staying in this facility is a nightmare. The management was terrible. Everything seems dismantled.

This hotel was perfect for us - we came to Bath as a family for a wedding and the hotel was right in the centre and walking distance to the Guildhall, the Baths, everything we needed even with a 5 year old and 1 year old. The room was spotless, everything was clean and made up including my daughters cot. My husband requested an iron and board which we received and everything was just easy for what we needed.

Comfortable hotel in the city centre. Beds were excellent; bathroom gives some room for improvement. The staff helped us in a professional way and was supportive in answering questions. Nice place to stay as a starting point when making a city trip to Bath. All places that are worth a visit are on a walking distance.
