Travelodge Bath Waterside

I booked a twin room for me and my friend to stay. When we arrived we were not in the main building and seemed to have a family room which was not newly re-furbished. We had two single folding beds which were more like for children. Room was very hot. I went to reception who had the attitude that she didn't care and no other rooms available and seemed to be implying was my fault even though my confirmation stated twin room. Was given customer service number have submitted but no response so far. Me and my friend had had a lovely spa day at another hotel and wished we had booked there instead. Very disappointed and may now have to consider weather we book again. Even though we have stayed many times here.😡

Firstly we arrived at about 12 noon and asked if the room was ready, although we knew the normal check in time was 3pm; the answer was yes but we would have to pay a £15 early check in! Room was £150, it was OK, bed was comfortable but the pillow, manageable for one night but not great. No aircon, not usually an issue in the UK, but this year is a little different Parking was challenging as we went out in the car returning at about 4 & spaces were very very limited! Cost £9 for 24 hours which is cheap for a carpark close to the city centre, maybe that's why spaces we scarce, you don't have to be a guest to park WiFi was chargeable after 30 mins, didn't expect that extra! So the £150 ended at £200 as we had breakfast……is it worth £200, not for us

LIKED: Great location by the river (and train station), just a few mins riverside walk to the centre. Mice, clean, comfy room with a kettle and tea/coffee. I also like the fact that you could help yourself to tea,coffe, milk, sugar room replacements in the the reception as well a large jug of cold drinking water. DIDN'T LIKE: No breakfast or wifi included in a already expensive room cost (esp for a solo). Very noisy room doors when auto closing were a constant (not visitors fault)

Very friendly and efficient staff. Clean hotel and room and perfect location for the purpose of our visit.

Lovely venue, close to city centre, great for shopping , dinning etc.Bath is beautiful & this travelodge is the best

All was fantastic, convenient and good value. Only negative was room smelled musty and bathroom smelled like urine. Carpet and flooring need replacement.
