Americas Best Value Inn and Suites Bastrop

I booked the stay thru Priceline. I’ve not had any problems with Priceline but checking in at the hotel was terrible. My mother arrived earlier than me and attempted to just check in with the confirmation that I received from Priceline. They had no record of my reservation and were terrible to deal with. It took a 40 minute phone call from me to Priceline to work it all out. My mother is elderly and they were not helpful to her at all. They were very dismissive and acted like they could care less. And I add the room was already paid thru Priceline. The room was on 2nd floor and no elevator. It was nasty carpet(cigarette burns and sticky) and bedding was questionable. I know it was only the 2 of us but I’ve never stayed anywhere that only had 2 towels. It was bare minimum. When I approached front desk to request 2 more towels, the lady promptly informed me that that was because there was only 2 people on the reservation and that’s all housekeeping was allowed to leave. Heaven forbid we wash our hair and may need and extra towel!! I then asked could I at least have 1 more and she said let me check and see what she could find. I’ve never had such a hard time getting a towel at a hotel! I’ve stayed from MS all across the country and this was the worst ever. And I’m not a diva picky person. We are very minimal and have sense enough to know what to expect typically. I had to go back to desk the 2nd morning and get 2 more towels because housekeeping only left 2 once again. Even after they picked up the 3 from day before. The ladies at desk the next day were very accommodating and apologized and actually acted like my business was appreciated. So kudos to those sweet ladies. I hope y’all move on to another facility that values your work and hospitality ethic! I do not recommend this place at all and I’ve never reviewed anywhere but it needs to be known this place stinks.

I would have given the hotel zero stars if I could. We arrive to the hotel today and the first error we were charged for the same room twice one online and through the hotel. I call to get a refund from the online company who I did not give permission to used my card. Secondly I had an issue with the door not opening with key. After we got in the room the room was nasty and dirty. The refrigerator door fell off someone came to the room and put it back on but it’s still not on properly. I went to ask for a different room the clerk told us no other room is available and for us to get out. We are from Michigan and made reservations months ago and we stayed here several times before and had no issues. I feel so disrespected and hurt that this man name Dipalee kicked us out the hotel and yell at my 78 year old mother. For wanting a clean room. I want someone to call and speak to me regarding our treatment. I have pictures of the conditions in the room. The sheets had stains and hair on them and we only walked in the room we was only there for less than 1hour.

Lady was very nice that checked us in. Property was quiet and clean.

This hotel looks decent from the outside. The front desk attendant was friendly and professional. However, the bottom line is that this hotel needs a thorough deep, deep cleaning. From the filthy carpeted floors to the dirty tile floors, to the dirty walls, to the dirty sinks and toilets, and dusty tubs, this place needs a deep cleaning. It not only needs painting, but did I say a thorough cleaning, and it needs to be scrubbed? The carpet needs to be steam-cleaned, as well as the furniture wiped down and sanitized. My family has considered several family reunions over the years in Bastrop, but no one wants to stay at the hotels in Bastrop. We always end up staying in Monroe, when our family is from Bastrop and we want to have activities in Bastrop. You are certainly missing out on money that could be spent in Bastrop.The good I saw is that I did NOT encounter bed bugs. I am so very grateful for that. However, I will not be staying there ever again. I simply cannot do it. Please clean it up. Please.

Old, and nasty Filthy. This room was not cleaned prior to my stay. Half empty bottle of tea in the refrigerator and an empty tea bottle between the bed and nightstand. Hair in the bathroom and sheets. Just overall nasty and worn out. Not kept up over time.

It was nice and quiet
