Casa Cayuco Eco-Adventure Lodge

A truly unique experience in a beautiful place. The entire staff was some of the most professional and friendly I've seen. We and our 20ish year old kids enjoyed the week relaxing combined with a number of the offered adventures, all of which were a treat and super low stress due to how the team manages things. Highly recommend.

Our family spent 6 nights. It could not have been more perfect. We had read all the reviews and thought "too good to be true," but it was better! The location was beautiful. We were truly off the grid, but pampered in comfort. The food was delicious, fresh and healthy. The staff was incredibly friendly and made us feel like family. We had adventurous and educational excursions every day. We hated to say good-bye. Our kids (13 and 15) are begging to go back.

Very organized and relaxing. Planning was easy and thoughtful. We received an email prior to arrival to make sure we had snorkeling equipment the right size for every family member. Pick up was smooth and we could tell from first setting foot on the boat that we were in good hands! (Thank you Jose!) It only got better from there. The surroundings were beautiful and felt intentionally in sync with nature. We always had easy opportunities to participate in an adventure or relax by the water. We enjoyed spending time as a family and with so many like minded families from Europe and the US.

This place and its consept is really authentic. In beautiful nature with nice beach without all the crowds. We travelled with 2 kids, 4 and 8 years, and this was our last stop on our 3 weeks traveling through Panama. We got amazing and personal approach, could really relax but also enjoy nice adventures organized by Casa Cayuco. The food was amazing, and all the staff friendly and helpful, even out kids got very comfortable with all of them in very short time and also after we returned home they were saying they are missing everyone from Casa Cayuco. Simply they created unforgettable memories we keep forever and we just have to say big thank you!

Jewel Eco Resort in Panama From the minute José met us at the Bocas airport, every minute of this adventure and stay was absolute perfection. Casa Cayuco manager Alondra met us at the dock to welcome us and give us a tour. She’s a lovely young woman who goes above and beyond in all she does – like everyone who works at this magical eco resort. We stayed in the one treehouse on the property which was incredible. I slept like a rock every night, and the late evening rain storms were the best. We formed great friendships with the other guests who you share meals and daily adventures with. Speaking of meals, the food is so fresh, healthy and delicious that I’m plotting my return already. You’re offered daily excursions (I did all of them) that include everything from snorkeling at the mangroves and reef, jungle hikes, visiting monkey island – to my favorite – watching baby sea turtles leave their nest and make their way to the sea! So beautiful I nearly cried… I held an octopus, swam with nurse sharks and rays, saw some of the most vibrantly colored coral I’ve seen in years and soaked up every moment of beauty and joy. It’s also great to just hang out on the dock, in a hammock, snorkel around the dock or take a kayak or paddle board out on the crystal clear water. If you care about sustainability, love nature, want to meet like-minded travelers, enjoy off-the-beaten path adventures and desire to hang out in paradise with some of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet, this is the place for you.

I am so glad I chose this ecolodge! The location and the scenery are beautiful and the whole package is great. The lodge’s collaboration with the nearby village is evident. Alondra and Paola could not be kinder, engaged and thoughtful. I loved the trips on offer, particularly the bird watching with Ramon. He basically has created a bird sanctuary on his land. I strongly recommend it.
