Good stay! Breakfast buffet was tasty!

My family had a great time in Hampshire Court Hotel and Spa. The reception staff were excellent and super friendly. I could not thank them enough for moving us to a bigger room as I made a mistake of booking a smaller room for me, my husband and daughter. The room that we were moved into had a large balcony, nespresso machine, drinks on the house and comfortable bed The location is perfect and superb. It’s a 4 minute walk to a shopping centre and 5 minute walk and 10 minute drive to Festival mall. You’ll definitely won’t run out of options on what to eat. But most importantly, there are so many interesting place to visit nearby like The Vyne National Trust and Basingstoke Aquadrome to name a few The facilities such as swimming pool and spa facilities were clean, well maintained provide excellent service. Overall, we enjoyed our 2 night stay for a very reasonable price!

Staff were a little grumpy and room was a little old; carpet could have done with replacing. My room backed onto behind the building where apparently staff hung out or smoked, I heard a lot of loud conversations that I probably shouldn’t! Beds were comfy and they were fine with me bringing my cat, which was the main reason I chose it. Not terrible, not wonderful, did the job.

Was disappointed sadly. Arrived on a Friday evening and took dinner. Waited nearly 10 minutes for anyone to acknowledge we were there before being seated and thereafter the service didn't improve. The drinks were almost slammed down and when the food arrived it was mediocre at best. The room was mostly ok although shabby. Way too hot and no way to cool it down. I would have opened the patio door were the handle not broken! The lunch at a conference the next day was similarly disappointing accepting they were catering for a large group. But this is a conference hotel so should be well used to this. Came away feeling disappointed and not somewhere I would immediately return to. . .could do a lot better.

Room excellent, staff friendly and helpful food was very good but at breakfast unfortunately the coffee machine wasn’t working properly, Both Latte and Cappuccino tasted fowl, and we had to complain because it was undrinkable. The machine needed cleaning and other machine was out of action, a member of staff tried to sort it out. We are hoping it’s sorted by the time we return in a weeks time.

Hotel is in a nice suburban area of Basingstoke, quite wooded and leafy, with pleasant small shopping complex nearby. Only two miles from city centre and bus service number 7 (bus stop far end of shopping complex) gives a quick inexpensive means of going to and from town centre and railway station. Excellent pleasant service from staff, on front desk and restaurant, from arrival to departure. Very helpful, kind, staff. Room comfortable and quiet. Television remote took me a little practice to operate (required a sustained light pressure of the "on" key) but easy afterwards. Breakfast had a good variety of food, both hot and cold, brown or white bread. The main breakfast area was in area that was a little dark but I was able to use a table in my preferred lighter (daylight lit) part of the room. Swimming pool very pleasant, good temperature, lockers there a little difficult to operate, but staff very helpful and pleasant. The price I paid for two nights (a little over £100 per night including breakfast) was to me very reasonable value for money, given the facilities and comfort, and service. I would use this hotel again for accommodation in Basingstoke.

Stayed for a conference this week. Had a fantastic time. Big shout out to the Chef with the rainbow hair (sorry I didn't get your name) who helped me - I have a food allergy and the amazing chef let me know what was safe to eat at every meal! what a hero! Also George, the bar man, who kept smiling and serving drinks with happiness and jokes, even though we were probably a bit loud! He was awesome! The conference was well organised and I had a great time! My bedroom was great, comfy bed and lots of space. The rooms used for the conference were big enough, well lit, and warm enough! I was happy! there was a fire alarm, but I'm glad it happened during a speech rather than at night! Overall, a happy customer! Thanks

Great friendly staff, lovely relaxing and clean venue. Rooms clean and well equipped, great wifi coverage. Large Tesco ans local coffee shops within 5mins walk The masseuse Victoria was also fantastic. Highly recommend, look forward to staying here again.
