Chumleigh Lodge Hotel Ltd.

This is the only hotel/slum I have ever left along with my 3 friends. The place should not be able to rent their rooms. The place stinks and takes your breath away, the owner appears awkward and confused. The rooms smelt,were unmade with wet towels used cups etc lying everywhere. God knows what kind of bugs would eat you alive if you stayed. Be warned I urge you not to book we are currently trying to get in touch with a booking site to investigate this place.

Probably the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. I'll start with the positives. The owner was pleasant and let us check in early. Unfortunately it went down hill very quickly. I had four room bookings and had issues with every room. Mine in particular was poor. The debris in the garden was horrendous. Littered with old furniture and artifact's from the hotel. The front was similar with abandoned vehicles on the forecourt. My room had what appeared to be bodily fluid on the shower curtain. The window didn't close properly. The blind didn't work and the bed was like sleeping on a plank. The mirror was filthy and there where dead fly's in the fridge. The radiator was rusty and the reception area can only be described as a war zone. There was clutter everywhere. Including car log books and company accounts. This hotel needs to go back to the drawing board. The minimum requirement is to have a clean and tidy environment. Not dirty with a health risk. The other thing I noticed was the lack of leisure facilities. According to *********** they had facilities for bollards tennis and various other sports. I doubt very much if these actually existed. Even for London prices this hotel was not worth the money paid

We turned up at chumleigh lodge hotel and first look was untidy with two vehicles out the front with flat tyres. On entering the lobby the door was locked.. we knocked and tried to phone but no answer! Eventually a lovely little lady came to the door and said ‘ i forgot you was coming’ . There was a horrible smell in the place. As we were shown to our room a door opened and a strange man looked us and quickly closed his door. We decided not to stay. The toilet seat moved and wasn’t particularly clean. Big fridge freezer next to the bed and a microwave. No milk for tea/coffee. We went down and found the lady and once again the man who we had seen earlier seemed to be watching . We actually asked if this was an actual hotel or a what?? She said I’m not sure I live here but wasn’t the owner. No body about just a smell (boiled cabbage) that we couldn’t get away from. We went back to the room picked our bags up and took the key trying to find someone to give it back to. Ended up leaving by the ladies and calling to her to say we were leaving . She just ok! Enter at your peril and wished we had read the previous reviews for this place!
