Un diamante immerso nella giungla. Questa famiglia: Rajen (capo famiglia) e i suoi figli (Avi e Vin), la moglie cuoca, sono una vera e propria gioia per il cuore e per la gentilezza con la quale affrontano la vita della giungla. PROFESSIONALITÀ, GENTILEZZA, DISPONIBILITÁ, PASSIONE, sono queste alcune delle parole che rappresentano questo posto immerso in un contesto pieno di vita. Siamo stati più che ospiti e probabilmente anche grazie all’assenza di altri ospiti presenti, ci siamo sentiti parte di un gruppo. Non possiamo dirvi se è il miglior posto in assoluto ma possiamo dirvi con certezza che se cercate un luogo dove la passione per la natura è al primo posto, QUESTO È IL POSTO GIUSTO PER VOI! Ps: Andiamo via con una lacrima, siete stati speciali. Grazie alla magnifica cuoca che ci ha deliziati con ogni pietanza possibile, grazie Rajen per la professionalità e le accurate risposte alle nostre innumerevoli domande, grazie Avi per i sorriso che ci hai regalato e per la tua incredibile gentilezza, grazie Vin per la collaborazione su Instagram e per essere stato parte della nostra esperienza. Aggiungiamo un ultimo grazie alla guida, che con passione e competenze ALLUCINANTI ci ha guidato per questi tre giorni (viva la zuppa di pollo e il peperoncino rosso) Grazie Mango Tree Lodge, Chissà magari ci rivedremo! The host, Rajan, his 2 sons, Avi, and BJ were great. They go out of their way to ensure you have a great experience. The lodge rooms are large and clean. The outdoor dining and seating area is great and situated in the grounds with fruit and other tropical plants. Rajan's wife prepares all the nutritious and tasty meals. The lodge has, like many in Bardiya, had tough times with the earthquake and the pandemic affecting their income. Our guide, Mehindra, for the walking, jeep, camping, and rafting experiences, did his best to show us all that Bardiya had to offer. We saw lots of big animal signs, but the tigers and elephant herds were hiding. However, we did see one bull elephant, three one horned rhino, and crocodiles, along with various birds, monkeys, etc. As Avi and BJ support this lodge, I believe they will help to drive some changes and help to increase the patronage, which will help update and improve the lodge facilities.

Très bon séjour au sein du mango tree lodge ! Rajen et ses fils vous feront un accueil chaleureux et s’adapteront à vos envies. Les chambres sont simples mais spacieuses et efficaces (un petit peu de rénovations seraient les bienvenues). Les activités proposées sont sympa et vraiment des journées entières, tarif un peu élevé tout de même. Enfin, prenez le temps de discuter avec les propriétaires, ils sont supers et vous pourrez découvrir la vraie vie Népalaise et l’histoire du pays. Hate que les fils reprennent car ils ont de supers idées de développement et améliorations. Merci pour ce séjour !

Best place best service and most of all their dedication towards the guest is tremendous …it’s been one of the finest experiences being there..i will again surely choose mango tree lodge on my futher upcoming trip to Bardiya and recommend everyone all well ..

The owner Rajen was so sweet and looked after everything I needed. He was extremely flexible and understanding of traveller concerns and queries, and he helped me organize a program as a solo traveller that fit my goals, time, and budget. Rajen and veejay and Mahindra the forest guide absolutely pampered me everyday. They were super professional and skilled. Mahindra spotted animals I never woulda seen without his guidance and knowledge. I’m so glad I made the trip to Bardiya it was absolutely worth it!

Sono stata qui con la mia famiglia nel mese di Agosto durante il monsone e abbiamo trascorso 5 giorni indimenticabili. Abbiamo viaggiato in tutto il mondo ma nessun luogo e’ così unico come il parco Nazionale di Bardia. Ringrazio Rajen e la sua famiglia e spero di avere la possibilita’ di tornare molto presto.

We are three guys who have stayed 5 nights at the best jungle lodge, Mango Tree lodge! It’s a familydriven lodge, and you leave as a part of the family🔥 Everything from the room, food, service and safaris were outstanding! We chose to Camp inside the jungle for one night with an amazing view over the river. On the walking safaris we got close to elephants, rhinos, deers, and saw footprints of Sloth Bears! I’ve been on plenty safaris in India, South Africa, Kenya, Tanazania, Uganda and Zambia, but Mango Tree Lodge is one of a kind! 🌴❤️

It’s a family run business and the owner Rajan (Former Wildlife Guide for Prince Harry and Hilary Clinton) and his brother in law Mahindra have given me the best possible experience in the jungle (both have over 30 years of experience)! Both are the loveliest/friendliest people you’ll ever meet! Rajan’s spoken english is excellent! I did two walking tours and one Jeep safari, both were one in a lifetime experiences. I always felt safe and properly guided. The rooms in the Lodge are beautiful and spacious. The shower has great pressure and was always hot! After a long day in the jungle the fireplace in the reception hall was already crackling and I got welcomed back with a hot tea or cold beer! All the meals are homemade by Rajan‘s wife and were always delicious! 10/10 stars, I highly recommend staying at Mango Tree Lodge!

Rajend and team welcomed us warmly and showed us around the Bardyia jungle. The rooms echo the traditional Tharu style and are clean and comfortable. Rajend’s wife is in charge of the food which was delicious and varied. Thank you for a great stay.
