I was fortunate enough to spend 3 nights at Tiger Tops Karnali Lodge. It was overall an amazing experience, we were also very lucky to be able to spend 2 nights on the Babai River. Our time in Bardia was very exciting, following fresh elephant dung, tiger paw prints and leopard droppings. Unfortunately we did not see any Tigers but tracking the animals with the local guides on foot was exhilarating. Jack and BC made sure that we had an amazing and we were able to go rafting down the Babai in peaceful serenity with the most beautiful sunsets and views.

The majority of the reviews are from local guides and not from tourists who have stayed at the lodge. The lodge is nice, food is great but you pay a lot of money to see tigers. They tout online that Bardiya has approximately 123 tigers. This cannot be true as many of the other guests we interacted with did not see a tiger & neither did we. Overpriced scam in my opinion. Spend your money elsewhere.

Overall, a very nice safari experience. Although I liked Chitwan as NP a bit more than Bardiya, I would still recommend you to also visit this NP. It's a total different safari experience compared to eg Africa but I would recommend it. Tiger Tops Karnali is excellent to do this. Not 1 complaint. All as should be and above. Loved the dunn-floored diningroom :) Dinner was great Breakfast was great Food during the activities was great I recommend you to take the river safari! Our naturalist was Chambu who did a great job but was for me a bit too tiger-focused. We indicated that we liked all things great and small but found ourselves stuck in his very tiger-focussed search for the stripy cat. And this kinda resulted in him ignoring other very nice things to see. And that was a bit a pity. For the record: we saw a tiger :)

Getting to this lovely setting up in the forest by the Bardia `National Park is well worth the effort. Our gude Krishna was great company and always found beautiful spots to view the fascinating wildlife. We saw a tiger pop its majestic head out of the underbrush, then slink away, a leopard at dusk, a wild elephant by a watering hole, hundreds of birds, graceful deer leaping across our path, crocodiles lazing on the riverbanks...so inspiring to see the harmony of nature. The staff are friendly, helpful and well-informed. We took the camping option and slept in tents overlooking the Karnali river and under a glowing moon. The campfire was cosy and the food simple but delicious. We had a wonderful time; it was my husband and son's third visit. We'd all happily return.

If you want a real safari experience you should certainly visit Tiger Tops Lodge !!! We had a wonderfull safari with real professional guides who did everything in their power to let us see the tiger. Personnel was very very friendly. Food was excellent. The lodge was very beautifull. We enjoyed the atmosphere and will never forget the hospitality of everyone who crossed our path at this wonderfull resort !!! We will come back some day !!!

Remarkable staff and wonderful property! I felt comfortable and secure on my visit. I was most impressed by the naturalists and BC (the manager) who kept everything running smoothly. The food was wonderful.

Very good experience. Good way to be in full immersion with the nature. The staf and guide are very nice and heplful. I recommend if you want to be in full immersion with the nature and to know more about the wild animals of Nepal.

We just completed a three night stay at the Karnali lodge. The lodge is beautiful built in traditional Tharu design. The entire service team was phenomenal. We had such a good time and would highly recommend. Far exceeded our expectations!

We had an excellent experience at Tiger Tops Karnali Lodge. The rooms were beautiful, the food was excellent, and the staff were wonderful. We did not see tigers this time around, but the guides did their best to track them down. No disappointments though, environment and nature was simply beautiful. I would highly recommend this lodge again, and look forward to another trip to both lodges in the near future.
