Amazing ambiance, service staff is extremely polished and well manned and priffesional. Only thing which need to improve is wazwan it was too tough to have and being as a hotelier we do lot of food festivals in Delhi with kashmiri cuisine chef sanjay raina, his wazwan and this wazwan was extremely different. If I am not mistaken, then wazwan needs to be a little more soft. Rest everything was above expectation.

From the front desk staff of the hotel was very rude. Food is too expensive and horrible. Buffet breakfast was same for the 2 days ( served uncooked Dosa ) There was hair of some staff which they cooked in parantha and served. Power cut for 3-4 hrs They have some specific timmings for the room heater and if u r feeling cold and u have fever even then they will not start the heater. Very Bad Hospitality ( if u misplace ur room keys they won’t give u a new one , hotel staff said first find the misplaced key ) Staff is very uncooperative. Linens were very dirty and they are giving us used bed sheets. I will not advise this hotel if u are coming with family.

Visiting Kashmir without experiencing Gulmarg would be incomplete; it's truly a gem. Initially concerned about the cold nights, we chose to stay at Shaw Inn near the Cable Car, and it turned out to be the perfect decision. The property boasts breathtaking views from every window, resembling a cozy wooden boutique hotel that managed to dispel all worries about the cold. Their controlled heaters made it feel like a home away from home. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted at the Reception they went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, upgraded our room also .The food exceeded our expectations, Our stay at Shaw Inn was undoubtedly the highlight of our Kashmir trip, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Gulmarg.

i had visited gulmarg so many times and this time i stayed in this property and it was truly a right choice to be as our stay was excellent, ambience of hotel, staff were so courteous and helpful as we havent heard no from any1 of them, food were delicious and breakfast spread was best i had, staff Mr. Ilyas, Mudabir, Khalid, Zahoor, Nazim tysm for making our stay memorable and really enjoyed the best hospitality at the property, highly recommended... spcl mention for rooms, amenities and very important hot running water in such chilling place...

The family room was pretty spacious and well furnished . The bathroom is small, and the strange smell keeps on coming from it after the first use itself. The restaurant is very good. The views from the room are average with one side close to another hotel building part wrapped in tarpauline.. givong it a shabby look. Even otherwise the views are not very great. The advance booking rate was almost 30 per cent or more than the current booking rate. So dont book in advance . IN SHORT A DECENT STAY BUT NOTTHE VALUE FOR MONEY HOTEL. TOO EXPENSIVE GIVEN ITS LOCATION, DESIGN AND FACILITIES

Very good ambience. We are here for my wife’s birthday. The hotel staff have made Beautiful arrangements. Food was tasty and hospitality especially by Mr. Elys was excellent. Highly recommendable for people who would like to stay in Gulmarg.

Lovely property. Very friendly staff. Had a wonderful time at the place. The staff were particularly attentive to the needs of our young kids and ensured they were well taken care of. The property is located close to the gondola ride start point and lot of open area so our kids were able to enjoy playing in the snow. I only wish the buffet at dinner time gave more options to explore the local Kashmiri cuisine.

Cozy, chalet style rooms with lovely service and surroundings. Snow caped mountains all around the Hotel. The Gondola is an easy 10 minute walk. Majid was extremely helpful and escorted us to the gondola ride in heavy snow conditions. He was even professional enough to refuse a gratuity when I offered it. The reception staff are also very courteous and polite. The only thing I didn’t appreciate was that the restaurant staff came up to me said to “make his boys happy”. Basically he was telling me to tip them directly on my face. That is not very classy and ruins the effort the other staff members are putting in.

The toilet in the room was blocked. After complaining, they changed the room. But found out that this was blocked too. Had to change room for the third time at night to a smaller room. The bedsheets were stained and dirty. The staff were apologetic about the whole experience but this was really unexpected for a 4 star rated property. The hotel has nice grounds in the front to sit and relax in the evening. A campfire would have been perfect though. There is a well equipped gaming room for kids to play. The hotel looks rustic with wooden interiors and is probably one of the better properties in Gulmarg The rates charged per room are very high since there are not many vacant properties around. Food is delicious and breakfast spread is great too. Only the family room has a balcony.
