"這是一棟可以追溯到1548年的歷史建築，經歷了11個主人，如今是一家Spa酒店 酒店坐擁很大一片地，門前牛羊成羣，另一面餐廳有很不錯的湖景和一大片草地，野兔和松鼠時常在草地和林間跳躍。經過一條小路可以到達湖邊，也可以在森林裏徒步。 從電梯可以感受到，酒店很有年代感 spa有恆温泳池，冷水池，熱水池，還有一個户外的熱水池，面對一大片草地和樹林，真的很愜意。 唯一要注意的是：11點退房，一定要在退房前去spa，11點後要加收每人20磅。"

"I have grave misgivings about hotels in the busiest parts of the Lake District, especially at holiday times. Obviously they will be relentlessly overcrowded, with harassed and unfriendly staff. I’ve wanted to go back to the Proper Lake District for a while though so took a risk on the King’s Head. It’s easy to find on the ear popping main road up from Grasmere, just beyond the impressive hulk of Steel Fell, close to Thirlemere. Parking anywhere in the Lakes is hideous and expensive. Not here. Relaxed and plenty of room. It’s a long building with a pleasant bar restaurant area and beer garden. I found a rather pleasant residents lounge where a lady called Jo checked me in and made me feel welcome. It does get busy with passing trade but the staff look after their residents. They flogged me decent real ale and Jura whisky (the proper stuff). Breakfast is briskly table served from a menu and is well presented. I didn’t eat otherwise there but the food is popular and well priced. The road outside is busy and a bit of a racetrack, and the occasional fighter jet roars between the mountains on low altitude practice, but the relentless bleating of the sheep opposite soon returns things to normal. I was a little sorry to depart, but the manager said he hoped I would come again. I believe I will, and will even bring my wife."

"出乎意料的好，很驚喜！ 1. 酒店不大，介於小酒店和民宿之間的那種，傳統的一幢英式大別墅.（三層，沒有電梯，要自己提着行李爬樓）非常温馨乾淨，有暖氣 2. 強烈推薦他家的晚餐，非常非常好吃，而且很便宜，色香味具全！ 3. 酒店有一名男士，五星級服務！點餐時我們不知道哪一種啤酒好喝，他竟然拿了三個杯子幫我們各倒了一些，讓我們試嘗 4. 除了餐廳，他家還有一個酒吧，啤酒非常好喝，類似於自釀的那種 5. 位置也不錯，走到鎮中心幾分鐘. 走到湖邊十幾分鍾 6. 早餐不是自助，有菜單可以點，很有特色"
