Baarilliset hotellit kohteessa Montreal

Brand new hotel. Complimentary welcome drinks. Very nice gym and pool. But there is no coffee machine in the room. Front desk staff needs more training about EV car charging stations in the garage. Overall Very welcoming service though.

My sister and I just finished visiting my son in Toronto and we decided to visit Montreal. We booked 2 rooms. We had a terrible experience at Royal York Fairmont . We got kicked out from the lobby lounge by Karen over there for voicing our concern for the service being slow. For we had absolutely low expectations for QE. When we checked in there were 3 staff at the counter. 2 of them were engaged in their friendly conversation and one of them stepped up to help us. I thought that was totally unprofessional for the staff chatting among themselves in front of guests. Rooms are basic and clean. The location is central. The staff has showed no warmth and attention. In Asia a hotel of this level will greet u warmly and the better one will remember your name. Services at restaurants in Montreal are top notch. We visited some with long history and the staff took pride to explain to us the history. It is a shame Fairmont has some of best historic buildings in Canada and the staff showed no interest to highlight the history of the buildings. I travelled a lot for me to earn a diamond member here. I will avoid staying at Fairmont and any of their member hotels from now on.

The hotel room was very spacious and well-designed with a large comfortable bed. There’s also a sauna with a beautiful view of the city skyline. The location is just north of Berri-UQAM station which makes travel convenient, although the area itself isn’t particularly safe and during the summer months, it’s clear there are a lot of individuals suffering from homelessness, addiction, and mental health struggles who use the surrounding neighbourhood parks to hang out. The hotel staff were generally helpful although there were a few times we made requests to the front desk that needed following up. The amenities in the room itself felt very well-maintained. One downside was that there was no free bottled water provided and we had to buy water from the shop in the hotel lobby, which was heavily overpriced and we thought it was a bit ridiculous considering the price we were paying for the room. Overall, would recommend as it is a cheaper hotel than others but this comes with a price in terms of area safety and amenities provided by the hotel.

The front desk staff are very friendly and the location is great with abundant nearby shopping and close to metro if you need to hit downtown area

My stay was absolutely amazing! The hotel’s location couldn’t be better—right in downtown and close to all the fun spots, many just a short walk away. The lobby greets you with a refreshing scent and genuinely warm smiles from the staff—they make you feel right at home from the start. I had the juiciest steak ever, and the 24-hour heated pool? Total relaxation! The only thing I’d change is the pool’s location. You currently have to walk through the restaurant and lobby (which are open to non-guests), so it feels a bit awkward strolling by in your swimsuit. A private walkway or different pool spot would make it perfect! Overall, I had an incredible time and would definitely come back. 🤗

Samesun on hyvä ja edullinen perushostelli, joka sijaitsee kätevästi Montrealissa. Hostelli houkuttelee yleensä nuorempaa väestöä, mutta keski-ikä on silti 18–35-vuotiaat, ja paikan päällä oleva baari on melko suosittu. Hintaan sisältyvä aamiainen on yllättävän kelvollinen, ja tarjolla on bageleita, vohveleita, kahvia, mehua ja muroja sekä muffineja. Aamiainen on saatavilla muistaakseni klo 7.30–10, mutta yritin aina tulla paikalle aikaisin, koska tein vapaaehtoistyötä Montrealin sarjakuvatapahtumassa ja halusin hyvän aamiaisen ennen päivän aloittamista. Hostelli on lähellä, mutta se on myös hieman kaupungin karuimmalla alueella, ja yöllä siellä voi olla kodittomia, mutta useimmat ovat suhteellisen vaarattomia. Rakennus on vanhempi, mutta sängyt ovat mukavat ja olen pidempi kaveri ja pystyin silti nukkumaan sängyissä hyvin. Olin sekamakuusalissa, ja ainoa valituksen aihe oli yksi kylpyhuone ja se, että sisäänkirjautumisen yhteydessä ei vain anneta pyyhettä, vaan se on pyydettävä tai tuotava oma. Keittiön yhteydessä on toinen kylpyhuone suihkulla, ja se auttaa, jos huoneessasi oleva on kiireinen. Toisena yönä joku siivooja oli mielestäni sammuttanut ilmastoinnin, mutta oli helppo selvittää, miten se kytketään takaisin päälle ja milloin se on päällä, huoneet ovat mukavia. Ilman sitä oli kuitenkin tunkkainen ja kuuma. Pidin ja arvostin todella tarjottua laukkusäilytystä, koska minun piti kirjautua ulos klo 15, mutta Megabusini oli vasta klo 12.30... mutta pystyin säilyttämään laukkuani noin klo 22 asti ja sitten noutamaan sen ja jatkamaan matkaani. Vaikka tässä hostellissa ei ole poreallasta tai kaikkia muiden mukavuuksia, jos tarvitset vain hyvän huoneen ja kunnollisen aamiaisen, tämä paikka täyttää tarpeesi enemmän kuin hyvin.

I’ve been coming to Hotel Zero 1 for a few years, being the only hotel I book in Montreal due to its impeccable walkability. That being said, it’s unfortunate that it’s no longer shiny and new, you can really see the wear and tear over the years. If you want luxury you’re not going to find it here; however, it’s still a great place to stay for the action packed traveller who wants somewhere a bit nicer than a motel to stay. I booked knowing full well it wasn’t going to be the most amazing stay but it was not as bad as some of the Google reviews make it out to be- it’s just dated. The room was clean, check in and check out was easy, and even though the valet service is closed, the parkade they directed us to was safe and straightforward. I’d categorize this hotel as 3 stars as the amenities aren’t that great, but just know what you’re walking into, manage your expectations to that, and you will have a great stay. It’s just kind of a shame to see a hotel that I have great memories in not keep up with maintaining the property. If they repaired the fabric on the bed, replaced the shower heads and updated with smart TVs, that would make a world of difference. TLDR; Pros: clean linens, cable tv, microwave and fridge in the room Cons: dated technology, broken Roku, only one elevator for the whole building, no on site parking.

It’s a good hotel to stay
