"The hotel room was clean, spacious, and clearly recently renovated. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We were able to store our luggage safely in a locked baggage room. The hotel grounds are beautiful, with clean and very attractive pool areas surrounded by lush plants. In the early evening, you can even see fruit bats flying over the property, which adds a special touch to the atmosphere. The hotel is a bit further away from the city centre, but only 15min from the airport."

"お部屋はとても綺麗でした。ただ、壁が若干薄いのか隣の部屋の物音がかなり聞こえてきます。夜中の3時頃に隣の部屋のシャワーの音で目覚めました。 ケアンズ中心部には歩いて40分程かかりました。暑い日差しの中歩くのは大変でしたが、いい運動になりました。 プロントの方は皆さん丁寧な接客で良かったです。チェックイン前でも快く荷物を預かってくれたり、タクシーの手配もバッチリでした。"

"Mould throughout wet areas. Major health hazard for my handicapped son who is a chronic asthmatic No maintenance done. Ceiling in several spots is collapsing. Toilet lid broken. Shower head unable to be kept upright so you can have a hands free shower. Balcony louvre screen panels were off the sliding rail so you could not slide them. Etc, etc, etc ....."

"市内中心部からは遠いですが、施設内にプール３箇所をはじめ遊び場がたくさんあるので、小学生なら１日中遊べます。部屋では自炊ができるので、施設内にあるガスコンロでスーパーで買ったオージービーフのステーキを焼いて食べました。市内中心部へはバスで行けるのでタクシーは不要です。また訪れたいと思いました。"

"I had a great stay at Gilligan’s! The room was spacious and clean, and I was even lucky enough to have the whole dorm to myself one night. I still managed to meet plenty of people, despite being a solo traveller, thanks to the social atmosphere and nightlife. It’s worth noting that the bar/club area didn’t really get busy until late in the evening (11:30pm onwards), and the hostel is pretty deserted during the day thanks to everyone being out on tours/experiences. My room was overlooking the pool/bar area, so did get noisy at night, but the hostel offers free earplugs at reception which did the trick. It was great to have an en-suite in the room, and the bathroom was in good condition. The location is ideal, right within the hub of Cairns City, however I didn’t feel particularly safe as a solo female traveller in the area at night, so it’s definitely important to be aware of that/travel in a group where possible. The on-site travel agency is helpful and approachable, and staying at the hostel means that you can get discounted drinks at the bar and free club entry before 11pm. I didn’t end up going to any of the weekday themed nights, but at the weekend the vibes downstairs were good. I would definitely recommend Gilligan’s to any young solo/group travellers who want to meet new people and experience Cairns’ party scene at a budget-friendly price!"

"This is a hotel that up to standard - it may not be the best in the world but I believe it is one of the best in Cairns. The location is a bit far - it take a good 15 mins walk to likely everywhere in Cairns city center. However it is one of the newest hotel in the town and could give you a good and fair service. The buildings in the hote and the pool is beautiful. When you walk around the town you will find all big brands hotel in the world but they all looks like historical buildings."

"Customer service here is the best we’ve had in Australia! All the staff were so friendly and accommodating. When we had an issue with our room, we were switched rooms with no bother at all - which was such a relief. Really reccomend if you’r staying in cairns ! Thank you!"
