Parklands

We were 4. The room is very big and has kitchen fridge and everything you need but it's not decorated and miss tables or drawers to put your stuff. Also in the bathroom no shelf or drawers at all. Dining room is too small and quite depressing... food very basic and not much choice but good. We took half board. There was apparently a supplement to pay for new years eve that we were not told about in advance, and we had to argue lonv time and wait more than 30 minutes to be sitted. Not pleasant at all. Hotel is 10 min walk from town center which is doable. It is about 15 min walk to gondola and they offer free shuttle to the gondola which is nice. There is nice interior pool with jacuzzi space, sauna and steam room which are nice-again need a small touch to be very good. For example- offer towels to gusts and don't hide them and give only if requested. Gym is very basic. Staff are not very welcoming. Only 1 key per room which is really annoying as we come and go in different hours. All in all I would rate it low 3 stars as it does have good potential and facilities but it is not invested. It is my 2nd time in bansko and there are better hotels for same price range. Will go somewhere else next time.

There are a lot of things which we did not like. First of all the staff/manager/waiters do not speak english, exception 1 lady at the reception. The hotel does not deserve 4-stars, maybe maximum 2 stars hotel. Do not choose this hotel if you go skiing in Bansko. The rooms were very dirty altough the cleaning was done every day. The cleaning ladies only took the trashes and that was it, according to the pictures you will see. The apartments are big but very old and rusty. Bathroom mirror was broken and the step in shower had rusty parts. The towels which were put on the floor to be changes were never changes. The walls in the building are very thin, you could hear everything from other rooms. We received D25 room which was at 1 floor and could hear everything from upstairs. We booked with breakfast and lunch. The food was bad, we had stomach problems every night and one of the children had a poison infection from the food. The waiters do not speak english and they are really unprofessional. Very sad and not helpfull. Sauna area smelled very bad, the shower in the sauna area was broken that a child could injure himself and the steam bath smelled so bad as if there was never cleaned. The pool is nice but the air temperature is not for children. It is cold air and that is because the manager wants to reduce some costs when most of the turist come to celebrate New Years Eve. Water temperature is 29-30 which is good but when you come out of the water it is cold. The jacuzzi is old and it has broken parts which are a danger for little children. Never pay for New Years Eve dinner at the hotel, it was a disaster. We paied 50euros/adult and 25euros/adult and when we arrived there the children did not had places at the table: 6 and 7 years old. Also the organization of the entire dinner was very bad, the waiters as mentioned did not speak any english. We and also other guests wanted to speak with the manager but surprise, the manager did not speak and english. They did nothing to find a solition for us and also other guests. The food very bad! We demanded our money back for the New Years Eve dinner. Please find another hotel but not this one!

Just returned from a long weekend in Bansko staying in the Parklands Hotel. I have been to Bansko many times now and stayed in numerous hotels over the years, this has to be the best accommodation by far! Rooms well equipped and a good size, staff very friendly, nothing was too much problem for them, 5-10mins walk to the main bar/restaurant area and the main gondola Will def be using these guys again
