The view from the room was amazing , and I also loved the pool area as well as the gym which was fantastic. Service was quite good and overall I had a good experience. Some of the drawbacks included a bad smell of mould in the corridors (although this seems to be an issue with other hotels in Bangkok as well), old floor carpet in the room , broken door handle in the bathroom and some other parts that seemed quite dated and in need of some maintance/upgrades. The buffet had a lot of variety but lacked in some basic essentials such as no alternative to dairy milk , as in no soya milk,oat milk or lactose free milk. Also the water you get at the buffet is quite warm and there is no ice which is just a basic thing in my view when it comes to service. I also noticed there wasn't any tea option and most of the juices they offered were from concentrate high sugar and no nutrients. Instead of the basic things one might expect from a good buffet they offer a variety of different curries , fish soups and other main savory dishes which while I understand many people might enjoy a curry for breakfast I didn't think there was need for so many options and maybe some of that focus could have been put to use to offer better quality bread/eggs/tea/coffee/sugarless yogurt/some mushrooms for the omelette station/some baked beans that weren't watered down etc. But that's just my opinion based on what I've seen at other high end hotel buffets.
