Banbury (M40, J11)

The stay overall was good. He had a very lovely and quiet room overlooking the Oxford canal in Banbury. The hotel is perfectly well located right next Castle Quay (main shopping centre in Banbury City Centre) There is an arcade right in front of the hotel with cinemas, restaurants, bowling, gaming meters away from the hotel. I would say the location is just great. As for the staff. They were NOT great. I believe they lack of proper training to receive, register and welcome guests.

Wonderful staff, very attentive and proactive. Our parents stayed there as well and we all had a great night sleep. We specially liked the taxi booking system they had in which you push a button in reception and they tell you the taxi number and at what time is is going to arrive. They could include the opening hours in their menu as we didn’t know at what time they closed. There is no phone in your room so you have to go downstairs to order the food for it to be delivered to your room (and presumably pay there as well) The kiosk check-in wasn’t working so we had to wait for a person to arrive. The drop your card system for checkouts is great!

Have stayed at Premier inn many times over the years but this sadly was an occasion they were disappointing. Usually stay at the Banbury town centre one always excellent ut thought I would give the other one a try. Paid for a premier plus room but frankly it was not up to scratch. Stains on carpet by bathroom, specks of white stuff up bathroom walls, wonky toilet roll holder, dirty espresso machine, 4 tiny pots of the milk to add to the 4 nespresso pods - 3 same variety ,1 alternative type only. All this could have been overlooked but a feeling of disinterested staff this morning at breakfast was the disappointment clincher. Waved in to dining room , nothing else planned about service, just a yes go in you have paid already. Two of the two coffee machines at one point briefly out of service whilst 4 staff stood chatting at a table ( two looked off duty) no attention two to customers paid....in fact im sitting here now watching one of them complaining to the otherablut managers and yes indeed the word bullying is clearly overheard. An overall faded seen better days really. .. Not the experience I've become used to and reliability a brand such as premier inn stands for. Maybe its because it was a Sunday - mon morning stay ? Who knows. I'll be back to the town centre one next time

Reception was very cold from the young staff. The evening meal had to be returned a was not cooked and cold. No chicken meals were available at all that evening. In contrast, the staff at breakfast were very good and portrayed life experience skills. Breakfast was good.

I work in Banbury and stay in the premier inn. The service is excellent. Sharna goes above and beyond. From check-in to dinner reservation. Always smiles. The hotel is the place to stay. Nothing is too much. If you need to escape the daily commute, then relax in one of the comfy beds. 😊

Very friendly and good service very comfy bed warm shower good service nice food great breakfast and the eggs were spot on good location easy to get to clean room easy accessible car park and it’s free with loads of space well lit we will definitely be coming back
