"Booked the accommodation for my friends anniversary. They made it extra special for them, and they really enjoyed their time there. Beautiful setting for a quick getaway."

"Everything was okay apart from amenities like the iron took forever to get. Great view, clean rooms, excellent service and all round resort with bars, restaurants, spa, the beach at your doorstep but they need to renovate the building. The leaking inside the ceiling is not great to see in the corridors."

"We booked a Saturday night stay. Reception staff were very pleasant and welcoming. Our rooms were neat with a large bed, desk, occasional chair, bar fridge, microwave and kettle. Tea and coffee was also provided. Sufficient parking is available within the property and in the basement. Our room was adjacent to thd pool. Some guests at the pool area were so noisy that we were woken from our sleep. You can also hear the vehicle sounds from the freeway. Breakfast is optional extra at R155 per person. Room service is available until 10 pm."

"Fantastic hotel ..no more said They have a spa which offers spa treatment. Chose the feet /legs massage and full body 1hr massage.. Worst massage ever.. the masseur Nomcebe was not with it . I felt work and painful after the massage. It appears that there was no idea of muscle sets and how they need manipulation to relax and relieve tension etc. The best was the head massage.. Total waste of money and time and that is sad as the hotel experience is great. Furthermore booking for 9 persons with the spa was a nightmare and stressfull. Certain not a great experience and iam sure that other spas in the area will yield... better results.."

"Wow! What can I say?! We had 2 nights here before heading home and could easily have done more. We were lucky enough to stay in the Penthouse suite which was so comfortable and the views were amazing. The pool was also lovely as was the rest of the accommodation. We had really good communication from Katie before we arrived and Jacque was so friendly and helpful when we were there. On both of the nights she drove us to where we wanted to go for dinner and we used the local taxis company to get us home. It's a 20 minute walk to the beach and there are a few restaurants and shops there. I would highly recommend and I would definitely go back."

"We spent 4 very enjoyable days at Canelands. The location is excellent - the lounge area, pool deck & restaurant were really fabulous. Although I must say the service in the restaurant was very slow. Fabulous staff, efficient & extremely friendly. However, the one disappointing aspect was the accommodation itself. Very small room, with low-budget finishes, and the bathroom was VERY average. Great sea view though !"

"The cottage we stayed in was really cozy and had everything one need for a stay in Ballito (even a small kitchen). The ocean view from the little private deck was awesome. The pool is nice to have on a hot day although the ocean is just a stone throw away. We loved our stay in Ballito!"

"A very short stay because of our early flight the next day. A shame, would have loved to stay a little longer. The guesthouse is very nice and the rooms are very good. The owner was very helpfull and friendly, absolutely made our short stay very pleasant. Made a take away breakfast for us and got up at 3.30 in the morning to give it to us. Just perfect."
