Good location and friendly staff

Lovely little hotel with amazing staff and perfect location. The infinity pool and views from the restaurant are also incredible. The one big downside was staying in one of the road side rooms. The room is very small and you can hear all the noise. We had a 7 month old baby so it made things even more challenging. It felt like sleeping in the scooter parking lot. The shutters, which are the front wall facade don’t keep out any noise.We had to pay to upgrade to a suite which was a lot better as the rooms are twice the size and the ocean drowns out most noise. The hotel is also quite compact with rooms right next to each other like a standard hotel.

Awesome accomodation. Very good location if you just want to unwind. Very peaceful. No pubs or clubs so if that’s what you’re after then it’s not the place. This is all about serenity. And surfing. Limited choice for dinners out. Very cheap for food and beers.

It’s just a little heaven. Wonderful place, amazing service. Everything is great. Also the best massage I’ve ever had. Wish I can stay longer… Thank you for the perfect time. Highly recommended.

My wife and I stayed at Bombora Medewi on our honeymoon. Our initial draw was the long left point that sits directly out front of the hotel. After five days at the hotel, we didn’t want to leave! The staff at the hotel became family and were extremely kind and considerate our entire stay. The food from the kitchen, especially the chicken sandwich ice cream cookie sandwich hit the spot perfectly after every surf session. Nothing better than watching the sunset in the infinity pool looking over the surfbreak. It was a dream listening to the crashing of the waves outside of the room at night while going to bed. We have been home for a few months now and still turn to one another most days and daydream about being back at Bombora Medewi.

Cute place on the beach The hotel is nice with nicely decorated rooms and good breakfast but it was SO FREAKING NOISY in the morning which is crazy considering it was at the end of the street??? Anyways. There were loud vehicles RIGHT OUTSIDE the rooms early and the morning and some type of construction going on that kept waking us up (had climbed Ijen the night before so really needed the sleep) the welcome drink was AMAZING! Grab doesn’t really work so bring cash!!

I had a very disappointing experience at this place. After a surf session, I politely asked to use the toilet, but they refused unless I bought something. I didn’t have any money with me at the time, as I had just come from the ocean. Instead of showing basic hospitality and understanding, they turned me away. For a beachfront establishment that benefits from the surf community, this kind of attitude is disappointing. Many other places in Bali are much more welcoming. I wouldn’t recommend this spot if you value good service and kindness.

Wir waren in einem Hotel eingecheckt das uns aber gar nicht gefiel. Deshalb landeten wir im Bambora und haben es nicht bereut. Die Mitarbeiter haben uns geholfen wo sie konnten um uns aus dem anderen Hotel raus zu holen. Sie fuhren sogar hin um unser Gepäck zu holen, danach noch zum nächsten ATM damit wir die Stornierungsgebühren ziehen können die in Cash erbracht werden mussten. Um all das mussten wir nicht bitten sondern es wurde uns angeboten. Alle Mitarbeiter sind äusserst zuvorkommend und freundlich. Das Zimmer war sehr grosszügig und hatte eine Terrasse mit Lounge Möbeln. Sogar Sportequipment war auf der Terrasse/Balkon. Das dazugehörende Restaurant bietet eine sehr grosse Auswahl, Menues aus der ganzen Welt (Italien, Mexiko, Indonesien usw.) und es schmeckte hervorragend. Auch die Auswahl beim Frühstück (a la carte) lässt keine Wünsche offen. Das Bad ist riesig und sehr modern. Uns persönlich vielleicht etwas zu dunkel da vorwiegend in schwarz gehalten, aber das ist reine Geschmackssache. Die Lage des Hotels direkt am Surfstrand, ist grossartig und man kann vom Pool und Restaurant direkt den Wellenreitern zusehen.

The hotel position on the beachfront was fantastic. Breakfast and meals looking out at the sea and the surfers you could not beat or the view from the infinity pool. The rooms were well decorated and spacious, with a huge balcony, ours had an elevated sea view which we loved. The food in the restaurant was delicious and most importantly the staff, they were so attentive and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. We are hoping to go back for another visit it was that good

We loved every minute at this hotel. The rooms were lovely and clean. The food was amazing and there were a lot of choices. The cocktails were also tasty. My favourite part was the pool overlooking the surf and watching the sunsets every night while eating dinner. The surf was also amazing. And the staff were always lovely and helpful. I loved it and hope to one day go back. Totally recommend!
