The Ylang Ylang

We stayed at Ylang Ylang villa for 10 days. It was a family getaway. We had 5 adults and two kids. Villa has beautiful authentic architecture and plenty of spaces for people to be together or apart at any particular time. Rooms are very tastefully decorated and wifi was good for people who wanted to work. We had multiple treatments, massages and scrubs, which were inexpensive and performed by friendly knowledgeable people. Kids enjoyed movie room very much and also spent a lot of time in the pool. But the best part of our stay was the staff, so friendly and professional. Nothing was too much of a problem. Multiple juices for everyone, kid’s requests for pancakes and crepes at a minutes notice and it was on the table. Food was delicious and we tried many Balinese dishes. We celebrated a birthday there and invited dancers. Villa staff decorated villa with special touches and served us a beautiful seafood BBQ For me the only downside was the beach. it was dirty and one could not swim there. But it’s proximity meant we had sea air and sound of waves day and night. Thank you villa staff for making our stay special.

We were worried after seeing the recent ⭐️ reviews but after 10 days here, I’m convinced the reviews are fake. PROS - The staff. I am not sure I’ve ever been taken care of the way the staff here did. They made us feel like family. From caring for our 2.5yo most of the day, to preempting our needs before we even considered them. They were warm, intuitive, informed and honestly, perfect. - The prominent to Ubud. After dinner one night (9.30pm) it took 25 mins return. Though one day it took an hour (3.30pm). The lovely villa driver warned me on the first day not to go between 3-5 and I didn’t listen! - The authenticity. It was so nice to be in a villa with so many Balinese features and details. It felt comfortable and homely. - The food. The chefs really go above and beyond and every dish is delish. - The sound of the waves at night. Dramatic. - the proximity to other parts of Bali I haven’t explored before. I loved Sanur and we did a lot more nature day activities when we didn’t have to worry about spending an hour just getting out of Seminyak. - So many more. The driver. The locals. The rice feilds behind the villa. The general small town vibe of Saba. I could go on forever. CONS - We came in the wet season after HUGE floods. In December Bali had the most rubbish hit its shores than ever before. While the beach directly in front of the Villa was cleaned by people paid for by the villa (I think), there was still a little bit of rubbish further down. Not really a reflection on the villa but good for managing your expectations. - if you want to go to Seminyak, Kuta etc everyday it’s probably not the villa for you. It’s the villa for Bali veterans who are ready to reconnect with the Bali they once knew.

Omg, this villa was advertised on luxury website elitehavens but it’s in bad condition and not clean! Ruined vacation misleading Photos and Unhygienic Conditions Our family vacation was severely impacted by the condition of this villa. The photos online promised a luxurious getaway, but the reality was far less appealing. The decor was outdated and didn't match the photos at all, and more importantly, the villa was not clean.We found dirt, grime, and cobwebs throughout the property. This made our stay uncomfortable and unsanitary, and we spent a significant portion of our vacation time addressing these cleanliness issues instead of enjoying our trip. I urge potential renters to carefully consider the accuracy of the photos and consider the possibility of cleanliness problems before booking.

DO NOT trust the pics from their agency/their site. The worst accommodation we had in our time in Bali and Indonesia in general. This Villa is just awful! Wrong pictures ! The Room is not clean. overall a super disappointing stay, wouldn’t recommend!

What a fantastic property. The best vacation home we have ever stayed at, across many we have used in various parts of the world. First, the home is just beautiful. The views are great. The facility is maintained flawlessly. However, the biggest difference is the staff. A fulltime staff of 10 people under the supervision of Kadek ensure that you are treated like royalty. They are so caring and constantly watching your needs. Always with a smile. The location is quite remote- so you really need to think about having fulltime transportation. However it also therefore offers you great privacy and a quiet environment. Kadek and team also made great food. The in home massages were also very enjoyable. We had a family reunion there and it’s something we will always remember. Only negative is that the beach entrance is a bit dirty, but once you get past 20 feet, its all great. I highly recommend this property.

A perfect place for a quiet and introspective getaway. PROs - beautiful architecture and layout - spacious and tastefully designed rooms - great acoustics - you don't hear noise from the other rooms - very professional staff - delicious food - good massages - didn't have to think about security coz it felt very safe - wifi worked well so you can still work while on vacation CONS - I really have nothing bad to say other than most taxis do not know where it is and the pin on Google Maps lead you to the main office of the villa and not the villa itself - You also can't swim on the beach because of the coral but we really didn't mind because the villa has 3 pools!
