The Lagoon Bali Pool Hotel and Suites

Disappointing they no longer serve breakfast and was charged for food and drinks we didn't order.

Pool and location great, Friendly staff. Add breakfast with accommodation, only negative is lack of choice with breakfast menu and a few items are have crossed off. No omelette, no bacon with big breakfast, no pastries, no juices. Better to eat out on street restaurants, plenty to choose from. We had a villa in seminak with breakfast and was fantastic.

Post covid return, we stayed 5 days in a pool villa with a private pool and absolutely loved it. Perfectly comfy bed with really white, clean linen. Awesome aircon Great staff. Special thanks to Tini and Dharma and new guy Their new restaurant out the front ‘JACKFRUIT’ has the best breakfasts (worth including in your room price). Smashing pancakes and a cracking cup of coffee. I want to go back. Yes, it’s tired like most older Bali hotels but that didn’t detract from our stay. Our pool and Hotel pool were clean. Loved that there was so many good restaurants around us. Some favourites were the Lokal, Lemongrass and Warung Mina to name a few. Like Ketuts fixed price shop on Garlic Lane. About 10-15 minutes walk to beach or quick $2-3 taxi ride. Do yourself a favour if you can afford it and don’t want a private pool villa, book a pool access room. Happy holidays to you

Had a lovely stay at the lagoon hotel pool suites in Legian. The rooms were Clean and the staff are super friendly. The location is great!! You can walk anywhere from here. Yes Spa ( a lovely clean and friendly day spa) is just across the road. I’ll definitely be back

The Lagoon has so much potential, however it's not being capitalized on. On arrival, the pool resembled a swamp. Murky green. Was told it was because of recent rain and I put trust in the staff. The next morning staff were working on the pool vacuuming and there was a lot of sludge on the surface. The walls had green algae.... They were using a "portable " salt pump filter. The pool is the centrepiece of the hotel. Staff were observed to be throwing handfuls of chlorine on the pool and the steps of the pool had granular chlorine on them. The pool became clear after two days, but there was still visible algae on the walls. Accessing the pool from my room was risky, there were no rails and the steps high. The pool bar was not really open or staffed, a buzzer seemed to not work My room (pool access) was musty. The linen was old and grey. There are stains on the valence of the bed. The safe was not working so I locked everything in my suitcase. On two of the three days of my stay, I had as a cold shower. When speaking to management, they explained that due to low numbers the water was not getting heated quickly due to lack of use. The refrigerator was putrid, the seals exceptionally mouldy. There were allegations from other guests their iPad was stolen from their room, it was reported to police. The hotel denied this occurring when asked about it. There were no phones in the rooms to contact reception if needed and TVs didn't work. there were no directions to the earthquake evacuation point or to the tsunami shelter. This hotel is not suited for those with mobility problems. There are steps leading to the rooms. There is no lift to the second floor rooms. There is no hand railing to enter/exit the pool vis steps. I checked out after 3 nights. I had previously spoken to management about my concerns. I had booked 10 nights at $90 per night. They offered me a $400 credit to use for my next visit. Avoid this place. For two of the three days

to be honest the food is not the best but there will be something you can try. its about time they changed the menus as its repeated every week. However i would still recommend the hotel as the staff are great and you have spectacular views of the sea from the rooms. the hotel is in a good location and handy for everything.
