Nice view, good hospitality, and huge room

We just stayed here for our dive, but i wanted to do a short summary anyways, The place is incredible tidy, espcially for indonesia. The food seems fresh, but more amazing are several pools, the super fresh cut lawn und of course the nice things (ship wreck) you can see if you dive. Be aware that the entrance to the sea is extremly rough if you were your diving equipment, due to a lot of uneven stones. But the view you get once in the water is just next level.

Dit resort was een grote tegenvaller op een fantastische Bali reis. In onze optiek paste dit resort totaal niet in de reis. Dir resort is max 2 sterren. Slecht onderhouden kamers. We begonnen in een standard room dit was net een kleedkamer van een aftandse voetbalclub. Kapotte tegels, schimmel op de wanden en nul sfeer. Daarna een deluxe kamer gekregen, dit was iets beter. Nog steeds een zwaar sfeerloze kamer en nog steeds zeer slecht onderhouden. Ik zou hier wegblijven

Amazing! I was rather skeptical when I made the reservation. It all looked and sounded great, but usually the write-up and photos are a lot more impressive than the actual facility. Ocean View Dive Resort was even better than the write-up and photos! The rooms are very large and comfortable, with huge bathroom and private patios overlooking meticulously landscaped and mainained grounds. Every one of the staff were exceedingly friendly and helpful. I expected the diving to be nearby, but was not expecting to walk 150', enter the water, swim 5 minutes, and be diving on the USS Liberty shipwreck. Other dive sites, including the really nice Boga Wreck, were only a few minutes in the courtesy shuttle. My personal guide was super friendly and knowledgable, pointing out an amazing array of fish, corals, etc. that I would never have seen without his experienced, keen eye. At checkout I was expecting a lot of hidden charges for little extras here and there. Surprise again, there were none! I couldn't have been happier with my experience. I whole-heartedly recommend Ocean View Dive Resort, and assure you that you will not be dissapointed if you book a visit with them.

We stayed at Ocean View Tulamben December 3rd and 4th 2022. The resort looked good, 2 nice pools to enjoy and the rooms looked okay until problems started. First day there was no hot water and the tv wasn’t working, we informed the staff at the reception and said that both issues would be resolved in an hour. We went out to eat while we waited for the staff to fix the hot water, when we came back there was still not hot water and the tv wasn’t fixed. We again informed the staff and all they had to say was “Sorry”. But not a sorry we will fix it, and we continued with no hot water or TV. Next day we went diving, we came back around 3 pm and the room wasn’t clean and still no hot water. We again mentioned politely to the staff and they offered to change us rooms. The next room had the same issues, they said they will fix it but never did. HORRIBLE SERVICE, this is coming from a person that works in the hospitality industry. Besides all this issues that were ignored in our faces, the restaurant also was a disappointment, they forgot our breakfast while there was no other guests waiting and all the staff was just sitting in the kitchen, again “Sorry” but I guess they were not sorry at all. On our last day, when we came back from diving, we found toiletries in our bathroom that didn’t belong to us, this was very alarming because it could only mean that somebody had entered our room and took a shower. We went straight to the reception all we got was a “sorry” and here is your bill. For me this is a safety issue that should have been dealt with seriously. If you decide to stay here, be aware that even if the hotel amenities are decent and the location too, you will not receive any help from the staff, they do not care about your experience let along your safety.
