Bella Kita Mountain Retreat & Spa

L’hôtel est installé dans un cadre magnifique dans la forêt avec vue sur l’océan indien et immergé dans la végétation. Malheureusement lors de notre arrivée (30min avant) la chambre n’était pas prête, nous n’avons pas eu de cocktail de bienvenue qui n’a été servi que plus tard et pas frais… La chambre est basique avec le strict minimum, pas de produits à disposition hormis le gel douche. Le lit est peu confortable, nous avons eu mal au dos, et l’état de la chambre laisse à désirer (la télécommande de la clim est fixée au mur par une simple vis). La piscine commune est belle et bien située bénéficiant d’une belle vue. Les matelas tachés gâchent un peu le plaisir. Pas de bar. Le restaurant est situé en dehors de l’hôtel (il faut monter une petite côte), ils prennent uniquement de l’espèce et les horaires sont peu adaptés aux européens : fermeture à 20h. Le cadre est sublime mais là encore entaché par un manque de qualité, les nappes sont troués et les matelas au bord de la piscine et serviettes tachés. L’ambiance musicale se résume principalement aux hits de Justin Bieber… le personnel a l’air fan. Le personnel est gentil mais peu professionnel. Le service des plats est réalisé en décalé … compliqué pour un repas en amoureux. Le MonkeyBar attire les instagrameurs du coin mais tout cela manque sensiblement de calme et de sérénité. Nous avions un massage de 2H d’inclus dans cet hôtel : une seule masseuse travaille ici, donc nous devions passer l’un après l’autre… pas idéal pour un moment romantique non plus… par ailleurs le réceptionniste avait omis d’informer la masseuse qui avait booké un autre soin, qu’elle a finalement annulé après que j’ai longuement insisté … Le massage était très bien. Dommage car le cadre et les installations ont un vrai potentiel… Peut être plus adapté pour un séjour entre amis ?..

Myself and my mother stayed in Villa 6 which is the only private pool villa. I was a little apprehensive before the stay as they were ignoring my *********** messages, however once I emailed them i was given a whatsapp and they replied on that straight away. You can use the whatsapp plus the monkey bar whatsapp to order room service etc which is great as no one wants to be up and down those stairs all day! The Villa itself is spacious, clean and comfortable. The pool although lovely needs some upkeep due to tiles missing. Loved hearing the forest life on a night and also at 6am the coconut men climbing the trees right in front of the Villa! Staff were nice and friendly. Pull of bed was comfy enough but the staff did forget to have it made for my arrival which was disappointing as it was 1am and I had to wait for them to finish. Meals and drinks all are from the Monkey Bar which isn't very cheap but worth it for the free Monkey Bar use. Lovely food and drinks served there and we also had drinks delivered to the room. The last breakfast and dinner was just me and my mother as we were the only guests! The main pool at the Villas is beautiful, and was warm. I probably wouldn't book the private pool villa in future as the shared pool is so lovely and with only 5 villas using it it's very quiet. The only problem i could see is access, or how difficult it could be for those not so nimble, or tipsy after a day at the monkey bar, the stairs especially down to Villa 6 at the end are many, and there are no railings and they bend and wind so a trip could be lethal. Very beautiful place all in all and wow, the views are outstanding!

The Bella Kita was one of the most beautiful places I have stayed at. Simple yet authentic, basic yet breathtaking. This is not a modern resort with anything and everything you could want, it is a stunning traditional set of villas in the jungle that captures the pure beauty of the jungle with everything you need. The beds are super comfy, the bathroom is gorgeous and you literally feel like you’re showering in the Forrest, the views will take your breath away. One only restaurant but the restaurant has traditional and western options and can cover every meal you need. The accomodation I found cheap yet the restaurant pricey for Bali standards but not at all compared to Australian pricing. Be prepared to hear the jungle noises and local ceremony’s but to be honest that just adds to the beauty. The views are breathtaking and the ability to switch off and enjoy you can’t put a price on. I stayed with two teenagers and we all left rested, blown away and willing to come back. I highly recommend
