Kedonganan Beach Villas

We didn't like it... First of all, the Villa is well decorated and looks nice. But you soon realize that there are a number of drawbacks. It's not "beachfront" as shown in the photos. You have to leave the estate (long way), cross a small square and then you have the public beach. There are no free sunbeds, but there are paid sunbeds on the public beach. Then you quickly feel oppressed, as the pool is enclosed within 4 walls (lovely) and the garden is non-existent, giving you the feeling of being in a box. The bay windows are beautiful but let in all the bugs. As for the front door, the lock is on the floor (you have to be flexible) and for elderly people or those with reduced mobility, it's complicated. You have to be a tightrope walker to open the lock, perched on a square slab in the middle of a water feature (pretty, but not functional). The bed creaks loudly and is very hard. The bathroom is very dark, despite the light bulbs and no toilet accessories like in the other Bali villas (shower cap, Cotton....). We're stretching out next to the work. Want to go for a walk in the evening? There's nothing nice here. No stores, just fish restaurants without any charm. We rented for 5 nights but left after 1 night (without a refund, of course). We expressed our disappointment and got a "marketing" reply saying that the mattresses were up to European standards etc etc... in short, a brief, ready-made commercial excuse and nothing to try and make the stay more pleasant. At the same time, I don't see what they could have changed. And clearly, you feel they've got their money and don't care about the rest. We decided to continue our trip elsewhere,

Location: Close to Jimbaran Bay which is well known for their spectacular sunsets. It is close to Denpasar airport which is good if you want to avoid traffic, but a little far from places of interest or good restaurants or convenience stores. The neighbourhood is admittedly a little dodgy, and I picked up a hypodermic needle in my shoe walking back to the villa from across the road. Customer Service: The staff are generally polite, and relatively on the ball. They came quite quickly when we told them the air conditioner was leaking, though after repairs, it leaked the day after again. There is no reception area, so everything is handled via WhatsApp. They kindly accommodated an earlier check-in when we requested, and there were no real issues with communication. Facilities/amenities: The villa is spacious, and each room is generous in size, with a small pool. Each villa has two rooms on the first floor and one room on the second floor. The living room is massive, with a large sofa, dining table and kitchen island, but the sofa definitely a little deflated. There is free parking on the property itself. Each villa also has a washing machine, iron, ironing board, detergent. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils, snacks, water and kitchen towels. In the toilet, they provide a set of face towels, shower towels and beach towels, as well as shampoo and body wash. The bath tub in the toilets are generous. The entry way is a little water feature with steps leading into the living room, which while aesthetically pretty, could be a little dangerous for older folks. Only one set of keys are provided, so you either have excellent logistics amongst travel companions or risk being locked out at inconvenient moments. Cleanliness: A bare pass on cleanliness. The driveway should have been indicator, as there were random things strewn about when we arrived, which made it look messy and unkempt. The corners of the rooms did not seem to be cleaned; there was dust around the edges of the room. I realised picked up dead bug carcasses on my feet when I washed feet before bed from just padding around the villa. Cleaning is done once every third night stay and bed linen change is done once a week, but this information is not provided before you make the booking. (It was provided after I made a non-refundable booking.) We had issues with lizard excrements on the bedsheets every single night. On the third morning, when housekeeping came, we told them that we had this issue, but they did not change the bed linens. When I gave them this feedback via WhatsApp, they responded that policy was to change bed linens once a week. Zero initiative to try and improve the situation whatsoever. If you are afraid of lizards, this place is a HARD AVOID. You could jolly well with sleeping with lizard excrements if it poops while you’re in bed. We stayed in villa 1004, just magic, everything is just wow, from the welcoming directly in your villa, the staffs was so humble, explained everything, coordinate everything, to the massage in the villa(one of the best massage ever) that we had. Let me tell you about the next morning at 9am, the door bell rang, 2 ladies with a beautiful smile & a warm greeting (Selamat Pagi), arrived with a box inside with all their products and did a very yummy breakfast with a beautiful set up(Terima Kasih ladies). The villa is so so so clean, spacious and the private pool is great. Thank you Paolo, top notched service. Will be back soon

These villas are more than are advertised. Very smart and attached design. Very well equipped even with a laundry. Very clean and comfortable. Thoroughly recommend staying in these very attractive villas that are large and light with walls of glass looking out to a balmy pool.

Our first time to Jimbaran and we wanted a Villa to chill for a week. We weren’t interested in shopping or activities just to unwind and relax. Kedonganan Beach Villas( locals know it as KVB) was the perfect location to do this. We had a 1 bedroom Villa and it was huge. We could definitely live In it for a long term stay. It was equipped with everything you would need and expected in a Villa of its calibre. The pool was amazing, beautiful and well kept. It was so nice to have sunshine throughout the day and some soft grass underfoot. There was washing and laundry room, great carport if needed. Large bedroom and ensuite plus huge wardrobes and lots of storage. Kitchen was fully functional and there were two living rooms plus dining for a family. I had daily updates from WhatsApp and if I needed anything Jaz was just a message away with help. My only concern was the floor after showering was a bit slippery so you needed to take care while it was wet. There’s a large coco supermarket not to far up on the main road and a few good places to eat that can’t be missed like Caribu for coffee & a simple breakfast, AZURE beach restaurant for lunch or dinner and a swim, La Brasserie is a delightful French restaurant, L’Osteria pizza & Cucina, and The Open House is a 8min walk away and has amazing fresh produce for breakfast lunch & dinner plus you get a discount there if you mention KBV. Simplii coffee on the beach is also good for a morning coffee n stroll on the beach. Don’t forget to try a massage at The Open House. I would recommend staying and am Looking forward to returning one day.

OMG it was the worst experience ever. The property and the host were awful. Spiders and misquotes were all over the place. We had to pay twice their and somewhere else to run away from their place. The host saw everything yet no respond.
