Mantra Wellness Center

Mantra Retreat in Uluwatu is a gem in an incredible location! The vibe here is so much fun, and the staff truly go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and well taken care of. I stayed in two rooms—both were clean and comfortable, though the second one had a slight moldy smell. Still, it was a pleasant stay overall, with spacious and well-maintained surroundings. The area within the retreat is stunning, with plenty of space to explore and relax. The pool was a blast, and once the cold plunge was up and running after the first couple of days, it was absolutely incredible—cold, refreshing, and so much fun! The sauna was a great addition to the wellness amenities. The yoga sessions were also super enjoyable, and the yoga space added to the serene and fun atmosphere.

Stayed here for sauna and ice bath Booked a few nights here after staying at another place nearby specifically for the sauna and ice bath open 7am-8pm that was included with our stay. First day went to use the sauna at 8am, door was wide open and it was full of mosquitos. Took about 2 hours to get it heated back up. Next morning went to use sauna again around 830, in the middle of my session (alternating between sauna and cold plunge) I was told I needed to get out of the sauna for maintenance. Was notified it was okay to use 2 hours later. Cold plunge water looked pretty dirty every day I used it, total of 4 days including check in and check out date. Good food and coffee, room was clean and nice. Didn’t extend stay, went back to my original hotel and used the sauna and cold plunge at health club down the road.

Honestly, I wasn’t particularly impressed with my stay here. Considering it’s a wellness resort, the staff weren’t particularly welcoming or helpful. I asked for late check out for a couple of hours before my flight too because I was unwell and I was asked to pay 3/4 of my whole room rate, which is ridiculous. I also asked for a towel after I checked out so I could shower before my flight and they kept making extra emphasis that I had to bring the towel back, as if I was going to steal it. I just felt like the whole vibe was off, it wasn’t the warm, welcoming and relaxing experience I had hoped for. The food choice was also very poor. Nevertheless, the facilities were nice, I didn’t get chance to do yoga but the studio looked great. I’m not sure I’d go back to be fair, which is a shame because it could be something magnificent. They’re missing a trick.
