Our stay at Kayu Mama was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in the beauty of the gardens that surround the property, a serene oasis that immediately set the tone for a peaceful getaway. The vibrant flowers and the gentle rustling of the trees created an atmosphere of tranquillity that was truly restorative. The room we stayed in was a charming blend of rustic elegance and handcrafted furniture that gave it a warm feel. And how to forget the open Balinese-style bathroom. Showering under the open sky, surrounded by nature, was an experience that added a touch of luxury to our stay, making us feel connected to the beauty around us. What made our stay even more special was the warm hospitality of the staff. Aya welcomed us with a smile that made us feel like we were returning home, rather than checking into a hotel. Grayden the owner was always available with helpful recommendations and made sure that every aspect of our stay was perfect. We apologize for not remembering everyone's names, but please know that each of you made our stay incredibly special. Forage, the restaurant was a delightful experience, offering dishes that were both delicious and lovingly prepared. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, making each meal feel like a special occasion. The friendly and attentive service, especially from Desi, added a personal touch that we deeply appreciated. And we can't forget to mention the adorable resort’s pet Mate, his playful presence made us feel even more at home. Ein wundervoller Ort mitten in Uluwatu in dem man wahlweise herrlich relaxen kann oder alle Tagesziele sehr gut erreichen kann. Wir haben tolle Menschen kennengelernt und uns bereits nach 2 Tagen so gefühlt, als ob wir in dem Resort zuhause wären. Besser geht es nicht. Das angeschlossene Restaurant überzeugt mit regionaler, internationaler sowie „Healthy-Food“ Küche in sehr guter Qualität. Insgesamt haben wir diesen Ort in unser Herz geschlossen und bedanken uns, dass wir hier 9 Nächte verbringen durften.

An incredible experience!!!! This place is truly a rare gem, not only because it has beautiful lodges, stunning lush greenery and top class food, but the team at Kayumama are the real diamonds. I’ve travelled quite a bit not only across Indonesia but the world and stayed in many luxury and boutique hotels and resorts, but I have never experienced a place like here, and it’s truly down to the people. It has such a beautiful energy, very cosy and chilled vibes that is so heart warming. Here’s a few of my highlights: The chef here is amazing… I really felt the passion and creativity from his dishes. Such a wonderful menu with a variety for all tastes. The sunshine soup, chicken main, and moringa smoothie bowel were my favorites. Spa/ Yoga: there are no on prem therapists but what the team does exceptionally well is offering such a wide variety of treatments through their partners. The turnaround time is super quick also. I had massages almost daily, Accuputure and astrological birth chart reading, full moon ritual, private 1:1 yoga. All from different partners and each were incredible. It felt like I was on a healing retreat and I could customize my own package for my needs. Booking was seamless. The pool is super nice surrounded by lots of lush greenery and very relaxing. They have their own yoga shala, cool plunge, steam and sauna room for a very reasonable extra fee. Really lovely add on. The rooms - the rooms are very cosy, clean and beautiful outdoor bathrooms. I believe they have different options. The dogs: Mate and Benjamin. I feel in love with them and they also bring a special atmosphere here. I hope to see them when I return. And lastly the beautiful people just made this stay one of the most memorable. Desi the manager is a breath of fresh air, such a beautiful woman and takes time to connect and speak to her guests. The team Ayu, Mici and many many others were all amazing. Can’t wait to return!!

Unfortunately a few days into our stay we discovered bed bugs in our mattress and had bites on our bodies. The owners made us feel like an inconvenience and handled the situation very poorly. They moved us to another room where we also had bed bugs and cockroaches. We then decided to change accommodations. Although the owners took the standard procedure of washing and spraying our belongings they did unsolicited contact us after we left denying any existence of bedbugs and blamed the bed bugs on us (even though we came straight from our home in Australia and hadn’t travelled anywhere else) Grayden (the owner) came across as very dismissive and aggressive towards us which made us very uncomfortable. We again reminded Grayden that we saw live ones crawl and shared our photos of the bed and bites on us hoping this would prompt further action into properly dealing with their infestation he replied to us saying he considered this case closed.
