A spacious 3 beds and 2 baths home built in 2022 for our family enjoyment and beach gateways, now available to be shared with other wonderful individuals who appreciate a clean, crisp and modern design home featuring many amenities in the quieter side of the island away from the busy side of town but still very close to the beach access.This modern house features 100% Luxury Vinyl Planking floors throughout (not one inch of carpet), a large 120 sq/ft front porch with Adirondack chairs and a rear white outdoor porcelain patio deck for total enjoyment and entertainment, a backyard gas BBQ grill, a newly built outdoor shower with hot & cold water + seating bench, large driveway parking that will fit 4-5 vehicles, one electrical outlet and water spigot on every exterior corner of the house (very useful to charge a golf cart), modern kitchen with quartz countertops + glass backsplash and quartz island with dual waterfalls and seating for 3, large dining area, very ample living room that spans around the entire front part of the interior space and integrates in an all-open space with the kitchen for maximum entertainment. The master bathroom feels like a spa with a large double vanity and a huge walk-in shower with three different types of shower heads including a rainfall!We share our favorite beach gear for all to use, like a very large quality cooler on wheels, a wagon with beach tires, Tommy Bahama lightweight folding beach chairs, waveboards and four cruiser bicycles for our guests to effortlessly experience the fun OKI has for all of us.As architects owners the house was designed with premium features and high quality materials and furnishings because, primarily, this is a beach retreat for the family. There is a walkable access to the beach via the 9th Street overpass or a very short drive (under a mile) to the first beach access at the end of the Middleton bridge road. Oak Island is probably the island where more free public parking is available for non-residents. The “Mermaid’s Quarters” is the 2nd large bedroom with 2 queen beds, a 39” Smart TV and plenty of storage for suitcases. The third bedroom or “Crew’s Quarters” is perfect for the kids with a twin-over-full bunk and additional twin bed, a desk for that dreaded homework, a 42” Smart TV, and plenty of space to spread out. Some of our favorites are the BBQ house, OKI Coffee Shop, OKI Scoop Shop and 49th Street Bar and Grill. We are located one block from a public beach access. We have everything you could need in one spot! Another benefit is free parking! Starting April 1st, the town will be charging $20 per day for beach parking. This home gives you beach access without any additional fees since you are just steps away from the ocean. We decided to give a nod to one of our favorite college teams, the Appalachian State University Mountaineers, and bring our mountain love a little closer to the ocean. The name of our home is "NEER the SeA", with the "A" in traditional AppState fashion. Both of my parents are from Boone, and both attended AppState. My Mother was a huge AppState fan and a lover of Oak Island, so my son and I decided that the name of the home was the perfect tribute to her and her legacy. Also, the hallway includes triple twin bunk beds. You can sleep 15 of you and your closest friends. House is located on the second street back from the beach with fantastic beach views from your huge covered porch. We provide two beach wagons for carrying all of your essential beach belongings. You will have use of beach chairs and a cooler, and a canopy. For fun, there are corn hole boards and a variety of beach or yard games. You will have tons of outdoor living space in this home with the 9 ft X 30 ft covered deck for enjoying the beautiful Oak Island sunrises and sunsets. Also, with the covered area you can still enjoy the ocean views, even if it rains. There is a spacious yard for play and space for parking with 4 cars limit. All inside linens are included, but you will need to provide your own beach towels. There is also a full size washer and dryer on site so you can head back home with clean clothes. Unfortunately, there are absolutely NO PETS or ANIMALS and NO SMOKING. I have ADA accommodations for a disability that does not allow me to be in proximity with any fur or feathers, even those that are deemed hypoallergenic. I live in this home as well, so no animals are allowed in either space. Weekly rentals run Saturday to Saturday.
