Saccharum Safari Lodge

The property is located in the buffer zone and designed in a very creative way, such that the feel of living in a forest is maintained while also including the necessary aesthetics and comfort that one would look for. The rooms are clean and spacious and designed keeping the local architecture and culture in mind. There is a small pool and sit out overlooking a water body in the forest, if you are lucky you can get to some extra sightings from the property itself. The hospitality of this place is just outstanding. The property is managed by 2 resident naturalist who share a lot of insights on the forest and wildlife and will provide you with all necessary guidance to make the best of your trip. The staff is very friendly and helpful and will always greet you with a smile. To top it all the food at Sacchurum was very impressive. They serve a huge spread every meal, ensuring that the dietary requirements of each and every guest is taken care of. We were there for 4 days and we were served very different cuisines every single meal, each being equally delicious. The chef here is truly outstanding!!

We have been going for Safaris for the last decade and a half and stay at Saccharum made this one as most special one. The warmth of everyone at the resort, the stories, Wasim and Ratna as the perfect host , Chef Akshendra’s out of this world food, Oopsies cuteness, resident langur, barking deer, wild boars and lots of birds and every little thing I missed out made Shaunak’s, Sreyoshi’s and my vacation as the best ever

Wir haben zwei wunderbare Tage in diesem verzaubertem, familiengeführtem Hotel mitten in dem Wald verbracht. Es gibt nichts negatives, was wir hier erwähnen können. Der Chef , seine Frau und das gesamte Personal sind sehr aufmerksam, freundlich und zuvorkommend. Jedes Mal, wenn wir von der Safari zurückgekommen sind, hat uns das gesamte Team winkend vor dem Hotel empfangen. Das war so unbeschreiblich rührend. Genau so wurden wir auch verabschiedet. Wir füllten uns wie ein Teil der Familie. Am liebsten wären wir gerne länger geblieben. Das Essen wurde immer sehr frisch zubereitet, es wurde immer auf unsere individuellen Wünsche eingegangen. Der Koch hat uns jedes Mal mit besonderen Köstlichkeiten verwöhnt. Aus jedem Gericht hat er ein Meisterwerk geschaffen. Und zwei Kellner haben uns am Tisch bedient. Unser Zimmer war groß genug für uns, mit dem wunderbaren Blick direkt in den Wald. Das Bett sehr bequem zum Schlafen geeignet. Rundum sind wir sehr glücklich mit der Wahl dieses Hotels und werden wieder gerne kommen

Been the best 4 days of jungle experience till date. The hospitality, food, stay, outdoors was simply outstanding. That machan outside the dining will stay with us forever. Looking forward to coming back soon. Thank you for everything.😇😇

Wonderful location, in the midst of forest, minimalist but with all comforts. Staff is very friendly, prompt and well conversant. We were only two of us in the lodge in those dates but head chef dished out varied menu every meal. Food is excellent, service impeccable, and we were served candle light bush dinner, breakfast by river, on the machaan...all without even asking them ! A must stay lodge to soak forest quiet and thrill with all your needs thoughtfully taken care of. Thankyou Mr Wasim and entire Saccharum team for making our stay a memorable one. From start to finish, the stay was incredible. As we drove in we were greeted with smiling waving staff who made us feel so welcome. The resort is located in the buffer zone and walking past the langur monkeys to the room just showed that you were in the wild! The rooms were tastefully decorated and the beds very comfortable! The bathrooms were clean and the rain shower was so nice, especially after a dusty safari! The resort itself is wonderful to walk around. With a lounge area to sit in the evenings and reflect on the day, to the poolside terrace which overlooks a watering hole at sunset- this place had everything you needed to feel relaxed and enjoy the surroundings. The food was delicious. Chef Akshendra did a fantastic job creating meals from locally sourced ingredients. He took into consideration dietary requirements. My favourite was the chaat station he set up poolside! The staff are really what makes this place special. They are kind and helpful and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was special! We are already talking about when we can go back! I highly recommend this place and I feel like words cannot do it justice!
