Maestro Hotel

Beware this hotel scammed us. So my husbands travel agent booked (and had paid in full) this hotel for us for COP last moment as only this option was available. Upon checkin, they asked for both of our passports and note they said nothing about number of guests staying in the room. Anyway we stayed at the hotel for 5 nights. Our stay was very mediocre since the carpets were not clean and I instantly got an allergy attack, after repeatedly asking them to get it cleaned they only vacuumed it once. Moreover, there was uncountable mosquitoes in the room which made sleeping at night unbearable. Other services were pretty average considering they charged us 600$ a night (due to COP). Anyway, coming to the scam part. So 5 days passed and on the day of checkout when we were about to check out the hotel manager suddenly said you have to pay $250 extra for the additional guest since this room was only booked for one person. This came as a huge shock as they has already charged us $600 a night and secondly not even once had mentioned this policy when we were checking in or during our 5 days. When my husband asked him why didn’t they inform us this upon check in they just said they mixed our room with another. They were clearly scheming the entire time and were super rude. My husband tried reasoning with them and we checked the tourist rules online and it said incase the hotel had an actual guest surcharge policy it’s just $2 dollar per night and for breakfast it would’ve been max $5 dollars. But they just wouldn’t reason with us and wouldn’t reply. And started even saying that if you pay directly cash it’ll be $250 otherwise we’ll charge your agent $500. It was an horrible experience and in the end my husband had to pay them so that we couldn’t check out and reach the airport for our flights. Would never recommend this hotel to anyone and will never stay here again concerning we liked Baku so much.

Darei 5 stelle al ragazzo della reception, davvero impeccabile e gentile. Buona la colazione che viene servita sul momento ( anche se non è a buffet ) e il the caldo sempre a disposizione nella hall. La posizione è buona per girare tutto a piedi,anche se solamente l old city è ad una decina di min, per il resto contate una mezz ora.. come aspetti da migliorare per noi sono l orario della colazione che partiva alle 9 ( tardi ) , che non hanno accettato la carta di credito richiedendo inoltre il pagamento subito in fase di check in, e i letti erano scomodi, materassi molto consumati, si sentivano le molle e non c era un matrimoniale ma due letti singoli uniti che avevano in mezzo il legno duro..

В отеле было очень комфортно. В номере были окна, кондиционер, не пахло табаком (оказалось, это не частая находка для Баку). Тихое местоположение, в 10 минутах ходьбы от площади фонтанов. Отзывчивые сотрудники. Единственное - отель находится недалеко от мечети, поэтому в 4.30 я просыпалась от призыва к молитве). Рекомендую)
