Absolutely spotless and really well appointed with a lovely selection of drinks and snacks. The bed was huge and really comfortable and there were plenty of places to sit and relax. The bathroom was perfect, a lovely walk in shower and a fabulous free standing bath, perfect for long relaxing soaks! I can’t wait to return."

"Friendly staff, decent food in the pub, well cooked and reasonably priced. We stayed for one night in the Hathersage room, this room opens directly onto the outside seating area, this is adjacent to the pavement and busy roadway. Room was ok, bed comfortable, bathroom clean with good shower, stone floor, no rug so cold walking around. It’s worth noting that there is a lot of noise from passing traffic, which did quieten down through the night but started picking up again around 5.30 a.m. Also I imagine in summer the pub patrons using the outside tables could be a disturbance if you wanted an early night."
