"While it had “elements” of a hotel, the rooms felt more like a hospital. There was nowhere to put your bags except the floor. Under the bed, there no comforter or duvet, just a flimsy blanket. It differed, though, by having the worst lighting of any hotel we’ve ever been in. We had to use our phones for better lighting at times. And you definitely couldn’t read after dark. There was only one person working the front desk, and though they were not full, we were put in a room with exactly what we did not want. A connecting door. And the FD person had no idea which rooms had connecting doors and which didn’t. So to find a room without one, she had to physically go and look at rooms. We were tired. It was late. And we tried to avoid wasting time so we could rest by calling ahead with this request, knowing it’s not guaranteed. But at least they could know which rooms had this feature and which did not. Additionally, the AC made a bad whining noise, and the thermostat was impossible to use...and we’ve stayed in hundreds of other hotels. Plumbing wise, there was just a trickle of water pressure in the shower, and the toilet frequently did not flush. While the vanity in the bathroom was sufficient size, it was not countertop height. Absurd. Lastly, I went to get a luggage cart to check out so I could get to a meeting. It took me 10 minutes to get into the room. When my key did not work, I went to the elevator lobby to call the front desk. That phone did not work. I then used my cell phone to call and got a busy signal. Fortunately, I saw a housekeeper down the hall and, after he made several attempts, I was able to get into my room. There is something wrong with the lock in 414. Breakfast They have a cook making fresh eggs and French toast. This was a surprise. Another “wonderful“ surprise was the cappuccino machine. It was a surprise in that it was present and also a surprise when it shot milk towards me and all over the floor once I jumped back. I was covered waste to toe with a spray of milk. The front desk agent on duty said that this had happened other times. The thing is two weeks old. How has this not been rectified? Also, the front desk staff is incompetent. We handed them a state tax exemption on checkin. It was not applied. When checking out I was told I had to sign a pad Without seeing what I was signing. Nope. I asked for it to be printed. Nope. I was also told this “form” should have been signed at checkin. As if that was my fault."
