We have had a wonderful experience at Greenleaf! We had 2 ocean view rooms. The rooms are big and comfortable, every detail has been thought of, a beautiful bathroom, great beds etc. It is one of the most beautiful small scale boutique hotels we ever did! The owner Helen is so kind and attentive, up to every detail, which makes the stay so wonderful! The breakfast and diner were exquisite and the location of the hotel is great up the hill, with a great view on Drake bay and every day you see lots of birds, the mankeys and chi chi the tapir which are part of the family! The complementary Sirena and snorkelling tours in the pack are definitely worth it! A big thank you to Hellen and her son to have made our stay so wonderful 🙏 Kristelle, Paul-Henri, Nathan and Raphaël

My son and I stayed at Drake Bay Greenleaf and had a fabulous experience! The room was extremely clean, very comfortable and had a beautiful view of the ocean. The meals were the best we had during our 17 days traveling all over Costa Rica, and each dish was prepared to our liking. Helen pays attention to every detail and we honestly felt like family while we were there. We enjoyed seeing all of the wildlife on the grounds including coati, tapir and countless birds. The property is immaculately maintained everywhere you look and you have difficulty finding a nicer option for lodging in Drake Bay. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to all of my friends & family and I will definitely be returning.

Das Greenleaf ist schlicht perfekt: wunderbare Bungalows, gross, modern, blitzsauber und eine liebenswerte Landlady die jeden Wunsch erfüllt. Die Lage ist Top, super Ausgangspunkt für Jungle Trips und Tauchen. Unsere Familie wollte nur eins nicht: wieder nach Hause 😃. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

This was a repeat for us - the first time was December and this one we had meaning to repeat because the first was such a unique and wonderful experience. Helen, Steven and their little son Vincent are truly exceptional hosts. Very warm, loving with lots of personalized care for each of their guests. The wildlife is incredible even at the lodge, the food is excellent. And the guides they work with are experts, passionate about the flora and fauna of Osa. Gustavo is an outstanding wildlife guide, as is Wilson the scuba dive master.

We stayed at Drake Bay Greenleaf lodge for five nights in mid-June, '25. Greenleaf is a tremendous lodge, four bungalows and dining hall all recently constructed and beautifully made. Food is excellent and healthy, prepared by Helen, the creator and owner. The lodge is on the crest of the ridge above Drake Bay (Bahia Drake) with spectacular views of the bay from the terraces on the bungalows and the dining hall. The terraces have views of all the vegetation and habitats below on slope descending toward the bay - lots and lots of birds to view and enjoy. Birds and wildlife are numerous and diverse due to the variety of habitats - rain forest on the south side of the ridge and open understory below the lodge. In a 2 1/2-hour bird outing around the lodge we counted over forty species. Tapirs, coati, and howler monkeys are seen at the lodge regularly. Helen will book tours of Corcovado Nat'l Park and the mangrove preserve as well as snorkeling and fishing, Great experience - we highly recommend Drake Bay Green Leaf.

Wow, this place is amazing! There was 6 of us on a girls trip and we had the entire property to ourselves. The host, Helen, was beyond wonderful. She catered our every need and request. From spotting animals, to serving us excellent food, and helping plan our excursions. I can't say enough of her hospitality. She made us feel like family. The property is spotless, both the rooms and the surrounding environment. You can see how much she and her husband, Steven, care about what they do. All the excursions we booked were with an outstanding guide. We enjoyed them so much. We saw lots of animals on the property, including Tapirs! Laundry was provided daily which was greatly appreciated. Helen even had our muddy shoes cleaned right before departure. As I indicated, everything was thought through with care and a passion for service. We will definitely come back some day. PLEASE do not hesitate to visit this beautiful hotel and it's lovely hosts. Thank you Helen!

The six of us were on a girl's trip and had all three available bungalows for a week. Each bungalow had a king and queen sized bed... extremely comfortable accommodations and it was a great place to escape the heat, humidity and rain. No surprise... it rains a lot here. In addition to the bungalows, there was a building with the kitchen and a common place for taking meals and relaxing (with an incredible view like each bungalow). We thoroughly enjoyed sitting and seeing a large variety of wildlife up close... including the tapirs LuLu and ChiChi who visited us in the evenings. I can't say enough about Hellen (and her husband, Steven) who accommodated the six of us with varying dietary preferences and restrictions. All meals were included and the food was incredible! She made sure the chefs took the BEST care of us. She also took care of our laundry and my hiking shoes looked like new when I departed. I highly recommend the offered tours... all were excellent (thanks Gustavo!) and the massage given by Anna (three of us had two). It is a 10 minute walk to the beach (downhill to the beach and uphill heading back).

Our 8 nights at Greenleaf have been truly magical. Helen and Steve are such warm and generous hosts in every way. Whilst on the property we saw so much wonderful wildlife, including a tapir that visited one evening, monkeys, coatis, agoutis, macaws, toucans and a host of other bird species. Our spacious bungalow, with its panoramic picture window and sliding glass doors was immaculately clean and the view was stunning. And on top of all that was the beautifully cooked food, the best we have eaten anywhere. Helen has the rare quality of making you feel very special, and she will happily do anything to make your stay as comfortable and memorable as it possibly could be.

Vous serez au Drake Bay Greenleaf comme dans une maison d’hôte . Helen est aux petits soins pour vous . 4 bungalows avec une vue magnifique , en pleine jungle mais au sein d’un jardin parfaitement entretenu . Des singes capucins , singes hurleurs , hibous , colibris et autres animaux vous ferons des visites . Pension complète avec une très bon niveau : plats savoureux et inventifs . Réservation par Helen pour les excursions : Corcovado avec un guide expérimenté ( Carlos ) amoureux de la faune et de la flore et cerise sur le gâteau : deux plongées d’exception à Isla del Cano , requins , tortues , barracuda … un très très beau spot à une heure de bateau , seule avec le master diver , un cadeau ! Les bengalows sont très grands , très beaux , literie excellente avec des draps de très bonne qualité . De nombreuses plages désertes aux alentours , sans compter celle de Drake Bay qui s’étend paisible avec son sable noir . Un lieu ou s’écoule la vie paisiblement . Ûn lieu d’exception au Costa Rica .
