Hotel Krone-Bad Ragaz

Extremely small room on the third floor (no elevator), the shower was not in the room but on the second floor, private but it was just another small room with only the shower. So you have to go down one floor with everything in your hand, including a towel, take a shower, get dressed and go back to the room. The room was not cleaned the first day because there was no "to be cleaned" label on the door. This is usually used to "do not disturb", not to ask for cleaning. The second day I left the room around 2pm and expected it to be cleaned in the afternoon, but that didn't happen, even though I left the label attached to the door handle. I basically slept 3 nights but the bed was never made, the water was not returned, the towels were never changed etc. There was a TV but instead of being in front of the bed, it was parallel to the bed on the same wall. In other words, it was impossible to watch TV from the bed: you had to take a chair and watch it while sitting. No blackout curtains, at dawn the room was full of light ruining sleep. Also, the wooden floor was quite noisy, when other guests passed by on the floor and opened and closed their doors, or just talked, it was a disturbance. I could go on but this is enough. It is a 4 star on paper and for the prices, but it should be called a hostel. I recommend taking this advice seriously, and not having AI respond to comments as noted in some answers I consulted before writing.

Nach anfänglichen Schwierigkeiten beim Self-check- in war ich rundum zufrieden. Kleines, gemütliches, sehr sauberes Zimmer, Dusche auf der Etage ebenfalls. Schöne Launch mit Büchern. Frühstück zwar bescheiden, jedoch mit gutem Kaffee und Vollkornbrot. Leider abgepacktem Käse, schade, das Fleisch war ja frisch geschnitten.

Hôtel avec réception automatique informatique fonctionnant à merveille En une minute nous avions nos carte de chambre Très propre et calme avec salle de bain WC petit mais fonctionnel. Petit déjeuner inclus et servi dans l’ancienne salle à manger, décors des année 1900 et complètement restauré… à noter que les tables en chêne massif m’ont beaucoup plu. À deux pas des bains Tamina au centre du village de Bad Ragaz, à environ 15’ de la gare CFF. Nous y reviendrons avec plaisir.

Hôtel bien situé au centre du village. Fraichement rénové. Belle chambre. Bonne literie. Petite salle de bain fonctionnelle. Propre. Bon rapport qualité prix. Établissement sans personnel hormis une femme de chambre qui s'occupe également de mettre en place le petit-déjeuner qui est en libre-service. Il y a de tout pour tous les goûts et en quantité suffisante.

We booked a superior room, which is shown in the photo on the website. BUT: - NO curtains on the main window so I had to un/dress to a public viewing from the surrounding buildings (all close by). - tiny bathroom - no chance to dress in there. NO additional chair, as shown in the photo on the website. - 2 coat hangers - for 2 people - on a rack - no cupboard/shelves for clothes. - NO reading light or bedside tables (other rooms have these). This would be acceptable for a budget room but absolutely not for a superior room. This hotel has no style and just wanted our money, without offering an appropriate service. It was alles Andere als preisgünstig.
