Atlantica Bay - Adults Only

Our first visit was over 2 years ago, and so it was interesting to see what had changed. The answer thankfully is very little. On the positive side, the food was even better and certainly hotter, and the staff remain excellent, as were the TUI reps. The very pleasant room on the quiet side of the hotel was kept beautifully clean. We favoured the beach club and beach ,as it was generally fresher and less populated to lounge about. Our only gripe was that the music, fairly dreadful covers, was generally too loud. As a point of fact, this is easily accessible on the other side of a road, which we would not describe as busy. There is a clearly marked underpass, and also a pelican crossing that stops the traffic immediately, however, we rarely needed to use either. The entertainment was a bit mixed and repetitive, and so with the changes proposed, it will be interesting to see if this freshens things up. The all inclusive drinks offering has declined, in as much Scotch whisky has been replaced by a local brand, shame! The beer and wine is drinkable. Dean’s excellent wine tasting class brought into focus the difference between the house wine and what was available for a price. The Roman city of Amathus is just a stroll away, or if you take the TUI jaunt to the top of the hill it is an invigorating hike. We understand in the year in between our visits, the hotel experimented with segregating smokers, but decided against continuing with it. This is a pity, as we did find it a pain to locate a quiet table, free from smoke only to have some “chainy ” pitch up and take the adjacent table, to the detriment of our evening. Whilst generally it is nice to see the cats around the hotel, they can be a nuisance at meal times, even if you discourage them. Those people who insist on feeding them despite the notices asking guests not to, don’t help the situation. We will certainly consider coming here again in the future, and will be interested in next year’s reviews, to see what changes have taken place.

Lovely hotel, really nice decor, mixed entertainment some really good, good food and drinks, nice staff. First room was to small like a box in the corner, so upgraded to a sea view which was lovely, Not much in the area to walk out to nice bar on the beach and a good way out of Limassol its self, taxi ride or bus in to town. Taxi quite expensive. Would return if getting holiday as a bargain, just like to be within walking distance of shops bars restaurants.

Αν είχα να σχολιασω είναι: θα μπορούσε τα ατομα στο ρεσεψιόν και στο main bar να είναι καλά ενημερωμένοι για τα facility του ξενοδοχείου για καλύτερη συνεννόηση με τους πελάτες και αποφυγή οποιουδήποτε μπερδέματος. Οι υπεύθυνοι μας περιποηθηκαν και με το παραπάνω, Το συστήνουμε ανεπιφύλακτα. Σίγουρα θα ξανά έρθουμε.

We have recently returned from a week all inclusive at the Atlantica Bay hotel in late October 2024. LOBBY BAR/ LOBBY TERRACE The lobby is beautifully decorated and is open plan, it is a very welcoming area with lots of comfortable seating. The lobby terrace is where a majority of the entertainment is held. The view overlooking the sea and the pool is beautiful and there is plenty of seating outside. POOL The hotel has two pools and the pool area is well maintained and clean. We only used the pool once as it was freezing due to it being October! There were a lot of sun loungers and most were empty (again as we were there in October this may not be a true reflection during the summer months). There are also comfortable seating areas around the pool for those who do not wish to use sun loungers. CATS There are a number of stray cats roaming around the hotel outside areas. They are looked after by the hotel staff and the cats don’t tend to bother you unless you fuss them. STAFF It is clear all of the staff at the hotel work very hard. A special mention to Agnes who worked in the lobby bar/lobby terrace she made our experience at the Atlantica Bay even more enjoyable! ROOM/CLEANLINESS We had a partial sea view room and it was very well presented and clean. The decor was neutral and light and airy. The room was cleaned daily, towels were replaced regularly and the mini bar was stocked daily. Apples and a bottle of red wine were also in the room on arrival which was a nice touch as we arrived late at night. The hotel is very well kept and clean. The staff in the dining room are very efficient and remove used plates very quickly (sometimes too quickly as on one occasion my husband hadn’t quite finished his dinner! ). ACTIVITIES/ENTERTAINMENT The TUI blue team led by Ged work very hard to provide entertainment for guests. There are plenty of activities throughout the day such as aqua dance, pool games, souvenir making. In the evening there were singers, a Blue brother’s tribute act (who were great) and also a silent disco. We did enjoy the evening entertainment but it could get a bit repetitive. FOOD/DRINK The choice of drinks included in the All inclusive were good. My husband and I had no issue finding drinks to try. The red wine was quite disappointing (and I am partial to a red wine) but the rosé was a nice alternative. The drinks list had lots of choice and then there were others you could pay for which had a discount for All inclusive guests. The food was good and there was a wide variety of items to choose from, as a vegetarian I had no issues finding foods to try. All the of the food was clearly labelled to show allergen/dietary information. One thing about the restaurant that we didn’t enjoy that much is that the tables in places are quite close together and in even quiet times the staff would seat you close to another table. Towards the end of our holiday we would ask to sit on a different table, but this is personal preference and

From the moment we stepped in the foyer we were greeted by a lovely welcome. Easy check in and off to the room. We asked for a high floor and that’s what we got. Room 419. Beautiful sea view plus pool view too. That room was immaculate and clean. Lovely white crisp linen. Bathrobes, slippers “ Which we didn’t use”. Nice white bath and hand towels. The complimentary shower/hair/wash gel were a lovely gesture, in fact didn’t use the ones we brought. We also received wine and fruit. The food at this hotel is 5 star. From breakfast, lunch and dinner, plus Al a carte very nice. It’s lovely to be waited on but nothing wrong with the food in the restaurant. And hot too. Loved the hot water geezer in a morning for our cuppa tea at breakfast. Fresh orange too. The choice is incredible, honestly. We came quite a few years ago and noticed the rooms have been upgraded to a high standard. Bed changed every other day, towels whenever you wanted too. Tea, coffee etc filled up every day. Free safe too. Entertainment very good. Something on every night from top acts, saxophonists, singers, dancers and occasional quiz. Plus “Silent disco” never seen before but hilarious. GED and his gang work really hard. We went all inclusive and wow those drinks were strong had to ask for weaker ones from the waiters. In the end they got them just right for us. The staff at this hotel work extremely hard and nothing is too much trouble. They really go out of their way. You never have to wait for a drink. Those boys at the pool through the day constantly asking if you want one. You don’t need to go to the bar at all. Too many fantastic staff to mention but couple that we clicked with the most were, Betty, Ali, Deepak and Agnes, but honestly every single one of them were equally as hard working.
