Olympic Lagoon Resort Ayia Napa

Our second stay at the Olympic lagoon following our previous stay in 2020 as they reopened after the pandemic. Upon arrival we were greeted with a cold towel and a welcome drink. Check in process was quick and was driven to our room located in the fisherman’s village by a friendly porter who has worked at the hotel for 27 years. This room was already preselected by our package deal. We stayed upstairs in the FV and views were beautiful. We had reserved loungers around the FV adults only pool but did not use these as was visiting with family who were located main building. There was service round the FV pool and the ladies who served guests around the pool worked tirelessly. The room was very rustic and clean and the turndown service was a nice touch. We had reserved loungers around the “adults relax pool” although this rule was let slip and had numerous children located round this pool and using this pool also. This was different to our previous visit and was an element that sold it to my parents for a relaxing day time. The bar staff in the pool bar work tirelessly. The pool bar supervisor is very supportive of his staff and works to help at all times in busy periods. Rony, Steve, Skaiste and Casper are a few to name of the amazing staff who create a lovely atmosphere from day to evening. The drink selection is fantastic. Entertainment was fabulous and although we didn’t take part in the day time activities the all stars also work tirelessly from providing activities in the day to putting on musical shows at night. We particularly enjoyed the soul night that allowed everyone to get up dancing. There is also a singer on in the pool bar at night, with it being the start of the season it was very cool of an evening in there and would suggest the entertainment moving inside as opposed to them having to sing in coats. Alternatively investment in some heaters/ blankets for the outdoor areas this time of year would be a good touch similar to hotels in the Canary Islands. The food was fantastic in most ways. Restaurants are not prebookable prior to arrival but did manage with the help of guest relations to seat our parties together. It was surprising to see that we could not arrange seating together in garibaldi although on mine and my parents separate visits only a maximum of 6 tables were occupied and could have easily accommodated. If you have any issues regarding these i would suggest a trip to guest relations as this was not communicated by reception and resulted in not getting to all the restaurants/seated together/lack of options. I imagine in the peak of summer these book up quickly. The food in each of our eats- seven orchards, garibaldi and the greats was all fantastic. The English lady with a southern accent who served us at breakfast (adults only area) and also in the greats was fantastic, welcoming and had the perfect attitude with the guests. We have recently returned from the Olympic lagoon and I have to say we had a wonderful holiday there. We were in a large party of 30 plus for a wedding. The hotel catered for all our needs and took special attention to some allergy requirements of a couple of people. The food is very good, but on occasions in the buffet restaurant it could have been hotter. They allocate sunbeds to the rooms which is a really good idea so there is no towel hogging going on. People that require a special mention are. Renée Marko without him my niece's wedding could have been a disaster. He kept the whole thing flowing and was always there to correct the mess ups that the two wedding planners got wrong. Susanna our maid was wonderful always bright and cheerful. Nothing was too much bother. She kept the room clean and tidy at all times. Not forgetting Steve and Fanos from the pool bar. Fantastic service and they always made you feel special. In fact all the staff were extremely helpful polite and professional except maybe the two ladies that took care of the wedding. All I can say on that front was thank god for Renée Marko.

4 star hotel, we enjoyed ourselves and there are some very nice touches. - Check in was easy and quick, little information given regarding booking restaurants and location of pools etc (surprised there was no map) previous 5* offered a choice of welcome drink (why we feel this is 4*) - I was unable to book into an a la carte restaurant of our choice the entire stay, sadly a 9pm reservation is unsuitable with a young family - loved the reserved sun beds, no issues there for us - queues for evening meal at 7pm, asked to return 30m later, no problem but imagine this could be longer in high season - nice choice of food at the buffet - pool very clean - inland view room, fine, nothing special, only hear road noise if balcony door was open, so fine at night to sleep. No turn down service, water replenished and coffee but not pop in the fridge during stay

Me and my friends went away for her 60th birthday. Not enough information about adult areas. Tried to book an à la carte restaurant was made to believe they were full. Couldn’t get in until 9 pm . We turned up at 8:45 pm only to find it almost empty. I was told that they had only done 50 covers for the whole entire night. Security is a massive problem. They didn’t show up when they were called. serving a group 8 at least 60 shots between 9.45pm and 11.30pm. The man in the group took a fancy to me was following me around the bar area and making various suggested comments making me feel very uncomfortable. Lucky for me one of the bar staff witness what was happening and called for security. She was fantastic. In my opinion, she put herself at risk because security didn’t come. It was our last night so we decided to leave the area and end our evening early. completely ruining it. The next day I reported the incident. I have to go and ask again for feedback. Finally I got to speak to the Manager how said that the Bar staff had written a report about the man’s . And that his behaviour is not acceptable in the hotel. She went on to tell me that he had been spoken to and been put on a warning. And that he was very sorry and felt ashamed. I unformed her that he wasn’t that ashamed considering he’d come and found me and waited me to come out of the toilet in the pool area and stood at the top of the stairs. I was completely threatened by his behaviour. I was glad it was our last day. Not such how safe I would have been. +side Rooms clean Food ok Staff: in Bar Area fantastic. Exactly what I was looking for! I had a great holiday with my family, But the weather was pretty cloudy and sometimes a little bit cold. The service in the hotel is incredible! It is an incredible place for families with children, I recommend

Stayed for 6 nights, location is not in Ayia Napa but super close in a taxi.. perfect for us - fabulous beaches within walking distance … Arrival and greeting at hotel was great. Staff super friendly in all areas. Service was fabulous.. definitely one of the best we have consistently received in every area of the hotel. Room was perfect, very clean and serviced twice a day. Obviously it was the beginning of the season… cleaning staff just need training on “do not disturb “ signs being on!!! Knocked anyway!! Really not a big deal. The lazy river and the Asian restaurant wasn’t open however the others were on different nights during our stay. We ate in all the restaurants except the Captains Deck and Garibaldi. Hard to get a reservation even though it was out of season. The food standard was good in all however nothing was really hot in any of the restaurants.. this is the only thing that let them down… so fixable and unnecessary. Drinks were great with a large cocktail menu. Would definitely return. Great stay and would recommend
