We have just returned from our 2 week stay at the Nestor hotel this being our fourth visit. I am sorry to say that our stay was not as good this year as it had been in previous years based mainly on the restaurant, we had to ask for cutlery on 4 occasions also finished plates where not removed and were piling up on several tables this happened only once but was disappointing, the breakfast was not good, the bacon was swimming in grease and overall not hot, main meals were better but not up to normal standards. There was one member of staff that could not lay a table and was permanently sniffing, not what you want at dinner. (We always dined outside). The positives were the pool area and the pool staff especially Kristina who was very attentive as always, recognised us instantly and we were greeted with a hug and ‘welcome back’, management I feel could learn from this! She greeted us every morning with a smile and conversation a credit to the hotel. All the staff who served around the bar area were lovely and work tirelessly to give an efficient friendly service. Michael was lovely and always engaged in conversation. Rooms were spotlessly clean as is the hotel overall, the cleaners work flat out and a credit to this hotel. It’s a shame that the restaurant let us down this year.
