Cane Village Holiday Park

Caneland Cottage is presently only one on this Park property. Plenty of room with 2 generous Bedrooms, 2-Way bathroom, well appointed kitchen, dining table for 4, 2 x 2 seat lounges, decent sized TV (at the right viewing height!) Very clean throughout and all in a quiet rear section of park. Well worth the few extra dollars & would be great for longer stays if required as very liveable space, close to Bundaberg Shops, Showgrounds & Airport.

The cabins are so spacious particularly our daughters family cabin amazing It was great to have such a big outdoor table chairs to sit at while away with our daughter and family at such a sad time for us all. The pool area was great to just try n forget our worries

THE GOODS:- For the price of $115, cabin 58 is a great deal. It's towards the back of the park away from the main road. Has everything you need apart from wardrobes & room for 4 suitcases (accommodates 4 people). Well presented park & cabin. Nice gardens, green manicured lawns, Dawn on reception sounds friendly on the phone (haven't met her yet). Locked box & key return box for late arrivals & early departures. Water is hot, shower pressure good, bed (though squeaky & possibly cheap mattress) was comfortable. Close to shops, servo & the park itself is quiet.' Cabin car park is concreted & the size is great for my long 4WD. portable Cooktop, fry pan, toaster, jug all supplied. Cabin is very clean. and has a commercial looking kitchenette. (stainless steel benchtop/racks). 20 minutes to nearest beach. THE BADS:- ＞ Entrance to many cabins (including mine) have 2 steps & my shower has a large tray edge (see pic) so not suitable for disabled people or those with mobility issues. ＞ No wardrobes/drawers/bedside tables or bedside lights ＞ Not enough space for more than 1 person unless they fit under the bed. ＞ hoons in cars racing on the main road at night so the burnout noise carries. ＞ Park is directly across the road from the regional airport so yes you hear the planes taxing in and out & they go over head when landing and taking off (didn't bother me but a heads up for you) ＞They still have the seeds from the palms trees dropping on the cabin roofs & my car roof so that's annoying (see poor review from years ago). ＞ unless 2 people sit on the bed bunks & 2 at the kitchen table there's nowhere to sit and watch tv for 4 people which is on top of the fridge is front of the air con unit. ＞ not enough room for 4 people to sit at the table & others fit at the sink at the same time, (2 stools in the corner for 3rd & 4th persons). relatively small shower space. GENERAL INFO:- No pets allowed in park & no smoking. (Both are much to my delight). Pool looks well presented & clean. No makeshift clotheslines allowed. Reception doesn't open until 8am. (Later than many parks) CABIN 58:- I will let management know that 2 of 3 lights aren't working ＞ front screen door not sliding properly & the screen is broken ＞ kitchen window doesn't open at all. Not sure if this one is renovated or not as someone mentioned in another review some have been. OVERALL:- I would recommend this Big 4, and I would recommend cabin 58 (but for solo travellers, couples & families of 4 with little children). Thanks for the stay!

We had an overnight stay which we needed to change, Chris was very helpful sorting something for us. She made us aware of the limitations of the cabin however we weren't prepared for how small it actually was. It was comfortable enough for 1 night but definitely too small for an extended stay. We arrived just after 5pm and reception was closed but access to a key safe was easy and following the map was simple. We had very loud and obnoxious rear neighbours, no fault of the park but it certainly detracted from what we were hoping would be a restful night.

We had 3 nights here in June to attend a sporting event. Lovely, well maintained park. Staff, especially Dawn, was just helpful and kind. Easy walk or 2 min bike ride to Aldi, Coles and shops. Really great park.

Highly recommended in all aspects! Very friendly and accommodating staff....beautifully clean and well maintained grounds...individual bathrooms, cleaned daily...spacious sites! Affordable rates! Walking distance to major shopping centre and close to CBD! You would be very hard pressed to find a reason not to stay here! Find out for yourselves! Enjoy your stay!
