Lovely clean and spacious room with very comfortable bed. Ensuite shower room was very clean and shower was always nice and hot. We booked dinner bed and breakfast and we were glad we did. The food was excellent. The hotel has a lovely atmosphere and there is a well furnished lounge downstairs which is wonderful for relaxing. You are made to feel very welcome and nothing is too much trouble. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return soon.

This delightful family run hotel and restaurant was a real find. Staff were professional, helpful and friendly - nothing was too much trouble. Our room (1) was comfortable and spacious. Public rooms were a treat - very well furnished and equipped. We loved it and wished we were staying for more than two nights. The restaurant deserves a special mention. Top quality ingredients imaginatively and beautifully prepared with precision cooking. Stand out dishes were the scallops starter and the lamb main. We had the best chateaubriand we have ever eaten - it melted in the mouth and was absolutely flavoursome and delicious. Its accompaniments were of the highest calibre and LOTS of them. Breakfasts were similarly top notch with great service. Make a detour to stay here as well eat here. You will not be disappointed. We can’t recommend The Rowan Tree highly enough. Thank you to all the team

Beautiful location. Very friendly. Great quality food with flavours well matched. Good choice of beers, wine and of course whiskies. Rooms very clean and fresh with nice newly fitted en-suite. Plenty on site parking. Will definitely be back.

Stayed at the Rowan Tree for one night while travelling. Fantastic stay and a warm welcome from the hosts. The bedroom was very clean and tidy and the bed was the most comfortable bed of our entire trip. Particularly liked that there are extra tea/coffee/milk set out in the hallway, a lovely touch. Ate in the restaurant and the food was beautiful. This hotel is a little gem.

A friendly and comfortable family run hotel with a very pleasant atmosphere and in a wonderful location. The bedroom was clean and functional and bathroom well appointed. The hotel has a spacious comfortable lounge with attentive service and I enjoyed my stay there. I will be very happy to return and recommend the hotel to family and friends.

We stayed at the Rowan Tree Hotel for 3 nights on a DB&B basis. We found the staff to be friendly and welcoming and had excellent knowledge of the local area. The hotel was very comfortable and the food was excellent as could be seen by the busy restaurant each evening. We found it perfectly located to explore the Cairngorms National Park.

Once again a warm welcome from Tasmina and Jonny to their wonderful hotel. Comfy rooms, outstanding food and they even organised the most stunning weather for us. Its a great base for exploring, as we have many times over the years or just to chill with drinks/afternoon tea by the fire or out on the terrace. A relaxed informality which is just what we needed after a hectic 6 months. We will be back (of course)
