Macdonald Aviemore Hotel

當時訂這個酒店是因為跟漢堡店麥當勞同名，感覺特別熟悉所以預訂了這個酒店。酒店在當地應該是很具規模了，雖然不是新的酒店，但是衞生乾淨，超出預期。酒店的服務更是細緻周到，我們退房那日因為要趕火車，所以在早餐開餐前就退了房，酒店貼心的在短短几分鐘內就幫我們另外準備了打包好的早餐。 另外，應該是預訂平台需要更正的，酒店並沒有滑雪課程，酒店可加強與平台的溝通聯繫，為後續預訂的客人提供準確無誤的訊息。

Waited ages to get a drink and then was charged 14 pound for a double vodka coke man behind the bar was also very rude and snappy

I wanted to write this review to help someone like ourselves who booked this quite last minute, thought it looked great for what we as a family wanted & needed & then decided to look on trip advisor etc.. I was really put off by some of the reviews on here, and it made me nervous. Most of the reviews i saw were all quite negative & not showing the hotel/resort in the best light. We stayed in the “Aviemore Resort” hotel, was blindsided on arrival by the “Thunder in the Glen” event happening at the resort, which we didn't know about so that could be handy for the hotel to state on their website when your booking, but it was fine just chocka block so we couldn't actually see the resort/hotel for what it was until the day after when it had all packed up & gone. Anyway, i thought the hotel was great! Staff were friendly, it was clean in all the communal areas, check in was fast. We had a room for 2 adults & a child. Main bed was huge & really comfy & great bedding. “Pull out bed” for 12yr old was fine, i was abit worried about it when we booked but it was fine for a few nights. Comfy & good bedding again. The room was clean & spacious, plenty of storage & mirrors. Fabulous Elemis toiletries, hairdryer, safe, iron, tv, tea making etc.. towels lovely & thick & clean. Bathroom was lovely, very clean & had everything you needed. It wasn't too noisy when we were there, we had no problems what so ever. The pool is nice but a tad cold if I'm honest! We didn't make use of the children's activities as it was too young for ours but it looked good. We stayed 3 nights & twice our room was partially serviced which we weren't expecting. Breakfast was lovely, really impressed with that! Such a big variety to choose from & is constantly being replenished. All in all we thought our hotel was great, yes parts need a little upgrade, few scuffs on the walls & our bed base was abit tired at the bottom, but nothing major & certainly nothing id feel the need to complain about or need sorting. We would book to stay again & try the other hotels on site to see how they compare. Don't be put off by some of the other reviews, i guess everyone has different experiences, we couldn't speak more highly of the place. The only thing i do agree with from other commenters is that the fish bar is very rarely open, its the only bar in that hotel & its rarely open. We enjoyed a drink one evening in there & decided to do it again the next night but it was closed! Each hotel should have a communal space where families/couples/whoever can relax & it be open every evening without having to trek over to one of the other hotels or restaurants
