Wineport Lodge

We recently booked a 3-night break at the Wineport Lodge to de-stress and unwind after a few difficult months health-wise for my wife.Wow — did we pick the perfect location!The hotel sits in a stunning, peaceful spot on the shores of Lough Ree. The staff were exceptional across the board: reception, restaurant, bar — everyone was warm, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. Our room was incredible — spacious, stylish, and spotless, with a balcony overlooking Lough Ree. It was the kind of view that makes you instantly forget the stresses of everyday life. Tea and coffee facilities were provided, including an espresso machine — a lovely touch. The bed was large and extremely comfortable, with gorgeous linen. The bathroom was modern, with a spacious shower and a big bath perfect for relaxing. We didn’t use the full spa facilities, but we did enjoy the outdoor hot tubs — absolutely brilliant. And taking a dip in Lough Ree afterwards was the icing on the cake. We had a beautiful meal in the restaurant on the first evening — I can honestly say it was the nicest steak I’ve had in a very long time. However, the breakfast was the real highlight: outstanding variety and quality, with something to suit every taste.In our opinion, this hotel is a hidden gem — great value for money, and a shining example of what Irish hospitality is all about. You feel it in every interaction, and it leaves a lasting impression. We’re already looking forward to our next visit to Atlone and will definitely be staying at the WinepPort Lodge again!  Greg & Maria

We arrived on our boat and moored up here for a couple of days to make the most of the spa and restaurant. From the moment we arrived, we knew we were in very safe hands as Jane and her team left no stone unturned to delivery the very best guest experience you could wish for. My parents are very much into their wine and we were delighted with the selection on offer at very reasonable prices compared to that would be charged in the UK which was a pleasant surprise. We were exceptionally fortunate with the weather with two fabulous days of glorious sunshine bringing many walk ins to the Lodge but the team managed it all with grace and slickness that was awesome to watch, well done to you all. Went for a night for or 10 year wedding anniversary. Views beautiful food stunning,room beautiful. The only thing was we were woken up at 5.10am because of staff in the room next door setting up table and chairs for a conference then next morning. We could not get back to sleep and we were wrecked the next morning. Said it to the lady on reception and I think the owner came out and took 50 euro off the bill . Thought they might have offered us a night again as we did not get any sleep in a hotel that is renowned for relaxation.
