Days Inn by Wyndham Athens

Boy oh boy, where do we even begin…. For starters, we ended up here because all the other rooms were sold out because of hoco. When we got here, the staff wasn’t the friendliest, but they helped us with the bare basics. Next, our room had appeared to be pried open, and when we got in our room, Bugs Everywhere. We ended up killing about 30 bugs throughout the night. Next, the beds appeared to be plastic-wrapped, but they were somewhat comfy. The free “Breakfast” was a granola bar and lukewarm coffee. In summary, Don’t go.

I killed at least 50 stink bugs in the room over 2 days. I do nit recommend this hotel to anyone for any reason

Parents Weekend at OU. So you get what you pay for. And on a busy OU weekend where other hotels charging 400.00 a night, it wasn’t THAT bad. Its an OLD motel needing more than a fresh coat of paint sloppily applied to make it worthy for a hotel aficionado, but if your a half glass full kind of person you notice the beds are made nicely, clean, the towels meticulously folded, and clean bathroom, refrigerator and microwave, coffee maker, cups. Sometimes we think historically old is dirty. Its old and worn. But we did not find it dirty. In fact I have quick response allergies and react to dust and mold and I had zero issues, even with the AC. Only way these old hotels can renovate is if we patron them.

Room poorly kept by staff. Smelled of smoke and given a can of air freshener to make own room smell better. Staff would not do this themselves. Poor service and quality of room.

This place is the worst place I’ve ever stayed. The sheets weren’t clean and the bed was like sleeping on bricks. There were dead roaches in the bathtub and other places in the room, you had to turn the ac up to 80 to get it to work and was noisy as hell. The wooden floor was filthy and the toilet and tub looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in forever. On top of that there was a guy sitting on a bench next to my room yelling into his phone loud enough to wake the dead. When I tried to call the office about this the phone didn’t work and when I tried to call the office on my cell no one was there. This was 11:00 pm. Do yourself a favor and spend a little more for someplace decent.

Got in late, lobby was closed but they have a window in an after hours room you talk though a mic/speaker. You couldn't hear the attendant over the vending machine, ice machine, and a/c. Kids toys outside and vehicles on blocks in the parking lot. The rooms were in very poor condition. Flooring was torn in spots and you could see settling cracks in the foundation through the flooring. The ceiling had paint peeling. And looked like it would fall down in spots. The beds were very uncomfortable, and the sheets weren't clean. The bathroom was dirty, paint peeling on the wall ,no towel hooks, toilet water line was leaking. Towels were dirty also. The lady cleaning the room next to us in the morning was rude. We had a pet and apparently got placed on the wrong side of the building. She was trying to say we didn't pay the fee because of the side we were on. Even though the receipt showed we did pay it.

The only good thing about the hotel was the lady working front desk at night. She was very nice and helpful. The room was gross and bathroom was gross. Stains on the bed sheets and bugs in the room. Do not stay here.

Dirty, outdated lamps from the 50’s, toilet seat broken, TV was an old metal box with lines rather than a picture, lights not plugged in, just an avnaolute mM disaster! Days Inm should be ashamed to iota this DUMP among their properties! Couldn’t wait to get out if there! TERRIBLE!

Complimentary Breakfast means coffee and granola bar. Not sure why they have a lock on room, you can see inside room because the door jam was apparently pried open at some point and either damaged door or door frame. With door closed you see inside room see pics
