Kandia's Castle Hotel Resort & Thalasso

Closed. They are closed. I booked in December 2022. I paid in January 2023. We knew nothing about the closure until we turned up on their door step 6.6.23 to be turned away! They claim to have sent me an email but that is not returning money is it? Nor in this case effective communication. They have 704 Euros of our money which we will apparently get back but are going through the process now. We are the ones contacting our bank, waiting for emails, stressing on our holiday, and having to do all the work though; how rude is that. We haven't got to enjoy what we planned and are left distressed and let down on what should be a happy time. Credit to Eleah she is very nice and at least gave me a follow up phone call after booking us into a lesser resort ( one we would ever freely choose ).But my measure is quite simple. There is a hungry, uncared for, unfed, orange cat crying at the front door of Kandia Castle Resort Nafplio Greece (Leonardo Hotels) looking for food. If you can not do a simple thing like care for a cat which is clearly a regular, then how can you be trusted to care for customers.

We booked a room through their reservations department and now I was informed by a newspaper article (protothema) that the hotel was sold and that I lost my money. The new owners Leonardo hotel do not accept our reservation & do not accept to change it for next year. Scam! Stay away!!

Don’t waste your money you’ll never get it back. This place claims to be under new ownership and won’t honor reservations that you needed to make months ago nor will they refund any of your money. I’m currently out €3500 I have an email that says they will be closed for the rest of 2023 as proof I took a screenshot of the email they sent me as my picture

This resort accepted our payment a couple of months ago. The new owner, Leonardo Hotels, are not honouring bookings and payments made under the previous owner. They claim not to know the previous owner but do have all his administration, including details of booking made. It seems very strange that they do not know who the previous owner was but do have his administration/bookings. Avoid the Leonardo Hotel group!

Όμορφος, καθαρός, ασφαλής και ευχάριστος χώρος. Προσωπικό ευγενέστατο και εξυπηρετικότατο. Ο ναυαγοσώστης δν άφησε τα παιδιά από τα μάτια του. Πολύ ωραίο φαΐ και απίστευτα δωμάτια. Αξίζει να πας και να ξαναπάς. Χίλια μπράβο!!!!!!!
