From the front desk to the restaurant to the manager—-all way below par. At check-in, I asked for a river-view room, and the rep said she was not authorized to do an upgrade, even though I am aTitanium Lifetime Marriott member. I asked who could do it, and she said no one was on property and she did not know when someone would be. I’m thinking: No one on property with any authority ? What if there is an emergency? Check-in took over 20 minutes even though I had used mobile check in. At the restaurant, it was 20 minutes before anyone brought us menus, even though uniformed staff kept passing by, and it was not at all busy. Glasses and utensils were dirty. At breakfast, another 10 minute wait for service. The general manager dismissed the check in experience as a mistake and got defensive when I asked for further explanation.
