A beautiful, tranquil oasis on the Norte Camino How do I love thee? Let me count the ways. The hotel is in a secluded, tranquil location on the Norte. Entering, one is struck by the kind eyes, soothing and welcoming voice of the proprietor, Javier. A gentler, warmer welcome cannot be had. The common area is artful and welcoming and filled with books and artifacts from a life well lived around the world. The bedroom was spotless, inviting, comfortable, with a welcome hot bath after 30km walking the Camino. The window overlooks the garden and the fields beyond. Birdsong abounds at morning and night. Dinner was unplanned (by me!) but delicious, served in a beautiful dining room—and a river literally runs through the dining room—evocative of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Falling Waters. A sound, restful, wonderfully quiet night of sleep. Breakfast was varied, plentiful and, again, a river runs through it. Javier is a warm, interesting and consummately gracious innkeeper. His conversation was warm and welcome and gracious—a worthy soul on a camino filled with worthy souls. A first rate experience. I have stayed at 2000+ hotels while cycling around the world the past five plus years—this is among the very finest on offer in the world. Stay here. You will be happy you did. Salaam

Lar de Mota es un pequeño boutique hotel, situado en plenos campos, valles y bosques gallego, con unos paisajes espectaculares que te invita a salir y pasear por los alrededores. Los anfitriones y el servicio, muy atentos y amables, te hacen sentir como en casa. Las habitaciones son muy bonitas y acogedoras, la gastronomía no defrauda por lo que a las cenas se refiere, deliciosas y originales, con ingredientes de cercanía. Además se puede acompañar la cena con una corta, pero excelente carta de vinos, así como terminar el día con una copa. Comidas no sirven y El desayuno siendo rico, tiene aspectos a mejorar. Hotel ideal para descansar, disfrutar de la gastronomía, pero sobretodo del emplazamiento, espectacular. Santiago de Compostela a 30 minutos en coche y La Coruña a una hora.

The hotel is absolutely gorgeous, peaceful country side. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Dinner was outstanding, unique menu not like others in Galicia. Breakfast was very complete, service was unexpectedly good. Would highly recommend

Un hôtel éloigné du centre, au calme, labatisse est très belle ainsi que les chambres. La restauration et les boissons sont chers. Campari ou Martini à 10 €... prix exorbitants dans cette région. Le petit déjeuner est sympa mais il n'y a pas de jus d'orange frais, dans ce genre d'établissement, c'était pour nous indispensable.

This is a spectacular place. The accommodations are top-notch, and the food is outstanding. Prema, the owner, ensures an absolutely delightful stay. It’s really a 6 Star place. It’s off the beaten path from Azura, and it’s a delightful ride to get here. The surroundings are some of the most beautiful countryside.
