Elewana Arusha Coffee Lodge

Arusha Coffee Lodge was the pre-safari gathering place for our safari group. We only spent one night here but it was VERY nice and relaxing. The vibe is laid back and the entire grounds have a relaxing and peaceful aura. This was especially appreciated as we were all getting over jet lag. The service, rooms, beds, facilities and food were all excellent. We have no complaints at all. We highly recommend this lodge and would stay again.

Our tour company booked us for 1 night here before our incredible adventure was to begin. We only left our room twice , for dinner and breakfast. Since we locked our room both times we figured nothing could go wrong. Silly us!!!! When we arrived for check in at our first safari camp,we discovered that we had been robbed of all the cash we brought (USD) as well as an earlier ATM withdrawal at the local bank. We immediately reported this to our tour company who proceeded to file a police report. The only feedback we have received after 3 weeks is, yes, they have had a series of incidents just like our. SHAMEFUL!!!! Since the only individual in our room was for turn down (as supposedly verified by CCTV) it would seem pretty obvious who the culprit was and how to proceed legally. We can’t believe how we’ve been ignored or even warned to be careful with your possession, even under lock and key since they knew we were not the first victims. So be forewarned, if you value your valuables this is NOT the place to stay.

Great spot from which to recover from your travel to Tanzania and safari (or spend the last day). Rooms are great - cabins dotted around the estate. No a/c but fans did the job perfectly well. Good food and very welcome. Nice first day before you head off for more adventure!!
