Disappointing Stay – Not Worth the 4 Stars I’m honestly amazed that this hotel has the rating it does. In my view, it's not a 4-star hotel — 3 stars at best — and even that feels generous given the service we experienced at certain points during our stay. That said, I think it’s only fair to give a balanced review: Positives: The location is good, and the nearby town is lovely to walk around. Staff were generally friendly and helpful. They did try to support us when things didn’t go to plan — but many of the issues we experienced were avoidable. The gentleman who manages the pool area takes a lot of pride in his work — always keeping the space clean and tidy. The layout of the family rooms is excellent. Having the kids in a separate room makes a huge difference for parents. Negatives: We found ants in our room. The TV and phone didn’t work. We had to move rooms after unpacking — not ideal, and the new room wasn't as good. The electricity kept cutting out, which reset everything and turned the TVs back on — not great when you have a 1 and 2-year-old trying to sleep. It happened three times! Entertainment was often late or didn’t happen at all — poorly organised. Dinner service was slow. We had nearly finished our meal before anyone offered drinks. Food quality was just okay, and the selection was very limited. Our return airport transfer took two hours, which seemed excessive. I asked about compensation for the room issues but never received a response. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. While some individuals clearly work hard and offer excellent personal service, the overall experience was a letdown. The hotel is dated, the pool area is overcrowded, and although the photos are accurate, they don’t reflect the true day-to-day experience. It wasn’t outrageously expensive, but I still expected better — especially from TUI. If you want an all-inclusive family holiday, pick somewhere else.

Just back from a week at Vila Gale Nautico. Wow it was incredible. Friendly staff, amazing food with a different theme each night, the snack bar was amazing and all made fresh to order. 3 minute walk to the beach, pool area was kept clean and tidy, and they even came round with fresh fruit in the afternoon to help us with the heat. Drinks were amazing, branded and staff very efficient. Our room was huge with an interconnecting room for the kids. We had a safe and a fridge that was fully stocked by the cleaners every day with waters, beer, Pepsi and ice tea. The location was ideal for us to explore the areas we wanted to. We went to Slide and Splash, which was huge, and exceptionally clean. Zoo marine, again huge, lots to do for all ages, beautifully kept and again very clean. Both of which we wish we could’ve spent two days at. And we did the boat trip from Albufeira Marina to the caves and dolphin searching in the Ocean. This was an incredible experience, we got to see lots of dolphins in their natural habitat. It was very well run, and the staff onboard were extremely friendly, knowledgeable and really gave us a fantastic experience. We used Uber and Bolt whilst we were there. Extremely efficient and very cheap to get around, a lot better than public transport if you go as a family, as we did. The entertainment at the hotel wasn’t the best in my opinion. It could be a little hit and miss. But we didn’t go there for that, so we were more than happy with everything. We especially enjoyed playing darts. We had an absolutely amazing time celebrating our 20 year anniversary, and hope to return. One last thing, the crumble for desert… we are missing this probably a little too much. I’m not a hot desert fan usually, but it was absolutely delicious. It’s a ln absolute must!

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at the hotel and can’t recommend it highly enough. One of the highlights of my visit was the White Night event — what an incredible experience! The atmosphere was lively and elegant at the same time, with great music, tasteful lighting, and a joyful energy that brought everyone together. The breakfast selection was fantastic, with fresh fruits, pastries and eggs made to order.. Everything was beautifully presented, and the staff made sure nothing was ever missing. Above all, what made my stay so special was the staff. Every single person I interacted with was warm, professional, and genuinely caring. From the reception to the restaurant, everyone went out of their way to make guests feel comfortable and welcome. It really makes a difference when you’re greeted with a smile every day. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!
