The Charles Bathurst Inn

Went for lunch, very accommodating for a walk in, friendly staff lovely looking pub! We came last year and were very impressed with the pub and had fish and chips. I remembered enjoying them so ordered the same meal this time. The portion was half the size that is was last year and was sat on about 8 chips. £16.95 felt a bit steep for the light bite size portion. Also was a bit disappointed in baby changing facilities, I understand the toilets are small however, a dusty mat stored on top of the heater, to be put onto a wet countertop, next to the sink and under the paper towel rack, as soon as you go into the toilet was not ideal. If someone else was using the toilets whilst I wanted to change my child, we wouldn’t have had privacy and I doubt anyone wants a poo nappy changing where you clean and dry your hands.

Well worth a visit or revisit Friendly, efficient staff, willing to help an adventurous traveller. Clean and tidy room with character, and a lovely view of the valley. Tasty food.

Lovely hotel/pub, friendly staff, comfy clean rooms and beautiful food

Splendid spot in the Northern Dales Very spacious room with views of the hills. Great food and beer on site and a room car park adjacent. The outdoor furniture had seen better days however.

Perfect stopover Spur of the moment night away. Husband snd i had a ride out on our motorbikes. Was a perfect starting point for our next days ride. The food was amazing and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Definitely will stay again!
