I stayed at Our Habitas Ras Abrouq during May 2024 and had a perfect experience, perhaps because the resort was nearly empty at the time. Unfortunately, my recent visit was far from satisfactory. I booked a one-bedroom villa for two nights, shocked to find the price was three times higher than my previous stay. Despite the steep cost, I decided to book directly through the hotel. However, the service I received did not reflect the premium pricing. During check-in, I requested an extra blanket/bed sheet and asked to reserve a safari activity for the next day. The staff assured me they would confirm and get back to me, but they never did. Three hours after check-in, I messaged the hotel via WhatsApp, as this was the channel they provided for inquiries. My message was read but left unanswered, forcing me to visit the reception. The receptionist explained that weekends were busy, which I found unacceptable given the high prices and the expectation of exceptional service. This dismissive attitude was frustrating and disappointing. To make matters worse, my sleep was disrupted twice within 10 minutes at 4:30 AM by a loud fire alarm. The noise was terrifying and completely ruined the restful experience I was seeking. I raised my concerns with the reception and requested to check out early, asking for a refund for the second night. The process was slow and unprofessional, with staff seeming untrained to handle such issues. Eventually, they provided a refund confirmation, but the entire ordeal left a bad impression. For the prices charged, I expected far better service and a more relaxing experience. Unfortunately, this visit fell far below expectations, and I cannot recommend the resort based on my recent stay.
