Wadi Rum Desert Adventures

Unter den Dutzenden von Camps im Wadi überzeugte dieses schon mal mit einer aussagekräftigen Homepage und einem Kombi-Angebot mit Wanderungen. Es ist tatsächlich das einsamste, da am weitesten entfernteste Camp vom Ort. Da kommt also niemand mal aus Versehn vorbei - und wenn man ruhige Nachbarn hätte, wäre es der stillste Ort der Welt. Das Glück hatten wir am ersten Abend nicht - schönen Gruß an diese unsympathische lärmende Familie.... Am zweiten Abend waren wir dann ganz allein, wodurch wir den Sternenhimmel wie auch die ganze Anlage nur für uns hatten - wirklich himmlisch. Dann gab es zwar kein Buffet vom Erd-Grill, aber wir wurden umfassend bekocht - halt typisch jordanisch, aber lecker. Auf der Terrasse kann man auch ungestört ein (mitgebrachtes) Gläschen trinken... Alle sind supernett, natürlich auch unser Guide Selem, mit dem wir am nächsten Tag die (sehr kurze) Wanderung zum Jebel-Al-Hash unternahmen, danach gab es vom ausgebildeten Koch einen jordanischen Lunch und dann noch paar Highlights im Wadi per Jeep bis hin zum Sonnenuntergang... Schöner Tag, ohne jeglichen Stress. Empfehlenswert.

Expérience incroyable ! Camp le plus éloigné ce que nous met encore plus dans l'ambiance du Wadi Rum. 4h de Jeep et 2h de camel ride à faire absolument avec couché et levé du soleil inoubliable ! Les chambres étaient super jolie avec douche fonctionnelle. Nous recommandons !

Amazing camp and even better staff. Muharib and his team were so fantastic. The food at camp was also delicious. Facilities were nice and clean. We loved the full day jeep tour, you really get to see so much and it is worth every penny. Being the last camp in Wadi Rum you are the farthest away from the village and other camps so there is no noise or light pollution (great for stargazing !) I recommend this camp to anyone wanting an adventure in Wadi Rum!

An absolutely brilliant wadi rum experience! Left our car in Mhareb’s immaculate and secure compound in the village and then set forth on a 3 hour tour of all the desert highlights. An amazing place, wonderful views and expertly guided and driven. Ended up at the camp which seems to be the best located - well away from clusters of other camps, looking out on a beautiful red sand dune and immaculately clean. Stayed in one of the new ‘luxury’ tents which have their own tiled private bathroom - definitely no slumming it here! Evening spent in the warm and comfortable dining tent with a Bedouin feast and entertainment. Host so warm and welcoming. Couldn’t have asked for a better 24 hours wadi rum experience.

We loved our stay at Desert Adventures. The staff was very accomodating, and the location is perfect. The sand dune right next to the camp is a great place to view the sunset, and the four hour tour we did was just the right amount of sightseeing and physical exertion we needed. Our guide for the tour was funny and took many photos of us on the rocks and bridges we climbed. The beds were comfortable and warm, and the place overall is very clean. The chef, Karim, was delightful. The food was good and there was no lack of water or sweet (and unsweeted) tea - as well as cookies for snacks. One of the loveliest moments was sitting outside by the campfire at night, viewing the stars (AMAZING) and listening to the oud player, who kindly complied and played a few songs we knew. We recommend staying two nights to get the full experience. Mohareb, the camp manager, made sure we were comfortable and was attentive to our needs. Can't wait to go back!

It was from the beginning to the end perfect! We booked the ensuite tent and that was very comfortable. We also booked the 4x4 day tour with Mhreb and it was the best choose we could have made. Our guide showed us all the usual places but also some very special once and combined every stop with Al little walk through the beautiful landscape or even a hike. Also the food was delicious and I really didn't expect that in the middle of the desert. In the evening we than got invited to a camp fire and tea. Everyone was super friendly the hospitality is amazing. We felt safe the whole time. All in all a perfect experience that I can only recommend.
