Our stay with Sweet home tourist rest, was just perfect. After booking Nilu messaged us if we wanted a pickup from Negombo to Anuradhapura. He picked us up for a very friendly price and discussed all the options we could do, so extremely nice! We decided we would love to do the Mihintale tour at sunset the same day we arrived. So he took us and all our luggage straight to Mihintale and explained a lot about the temples, Buddhism and all the places that we saw along the way. He waited for us while we visited Mihintale and even told us about a great photo spot. Afterwards he took us to the homestay and showed us the room. There was no one else staying while we were staying there so we had a living room, kitchen, bathroom and a very nice bedroom with aircon! The home stay was amazing and we ate dinner there. It was really nice and home made! After a good night sleep we also got a very nice breakfast and then we did some of the ancient city. Nilu (the owner) gave us a ride again and gave us some more information about all the places. After the tour he gave us a ride to sigirya and recommended to stop at another place with very old buddistic ruins called Ritigala . So in conclusion, an amazing place to stay, the nicest people ever and a very very good time!!
