Casona del Conquistador

Second time I stayed and I had the same room. Once again I had wonderful experience. This property is a short walk (15-20 minutes) from central, it’s very spacious, clean, kitchen is well equipped and very quiet. I loved it and can only recommend it. Little advice, contact the property before your arrival as it is a self service and so you will need codes to get in the house and your room. I didn’t have an internet connection but luckily there was a lady inside who let me in and showed everything.

Wasted potential. Stay away!!! The house has a lot of potential and unique aspects that could have made a very comfortable and pleasing stay. The rooms were nice, clean and the bed was comfortable. However, whoever runs the place is doing a terrible job (we were told ownership just recently changed). First off we were given the wrong code for the electronic lock on the front door to enter the house. Luckily other guests who were staying there happened to come by and let us in. They said they also had the wrong code when they arrived and had to wait for a cleaning lady. There was no staff present at the hotel, despite the listing saying “24/7 reception”. We then tried to log onto the wifi in order to communicate with the host and the wifi password that was posted was wrong. When we booked, it also said there was supposed to be breakfast included and there wasn’t. Then to top it off, the electronic lock ran low on batteries and locked everyone out the next day. All the guests including a couple who had just arrived from a long flight were stuck on the street outside with no way to get in. We had to call multiple times and we’re always told “10min and someone will be there to help”. It was probably 2 and ½ hrs before anybody showed up. And they actually had no way of getting in themselves! So it took an unconventional way before everything was fixed. It would seem the owners take zero effort to manage this hotel and thinks it will just run itself. A lot of wasted potential.

Literal uno de mis hoteles favoritos! Super amables , super limpio , los cuartos bien grandes y tienen cocina! El cuarto de arriba esta super grande y tiene su propia sala con televisión grande y NETFLIX 🥳 unos 5-10 minutos caminando a Telares Mall Antigua. 10/10 recomendado!
