Inn at Horn Point

Perfect for a Couple's Getaway I booked the trip to celebrate an anniversary weekend away with my husband. The property came up through a Yelp review so I checked it out. I was impressed with the location, the detail to cleanliness, and the commitment to the environment. Once I booked the room, the innkeepers were very helpful in offering things to do and places to eat, as well as offering to help make our anniversary stay more memorable. Once we arrived, Cory took the time to greet us as we came in and share some of the local history and sights with us. We checked out some of the sites and places recommended for meals and were not disappointed. The area is beautiful and our room was perfect for our needs. The room was quiet, and although we're sure others were staying at the inn, we did not hear them. When we checked out, Josalyn took the time to make sure we had everything we needed and to check in regarding our stay. Overall, the innkeepers are very kind and attentive. We will be back for future visits.

We were here for two nights. As long-term B & B veterans I should point out that we probably tend to be more critical than others. This is one of the only inns in the lovely Eastport neighborhood of Annapolis. The house is just a block from the bay, and only a 5-10 minute walk from several good restaurants, and a 10-15 minute walk from the historic downtown. This is a quiet residential neighborhood---really nice. Parking is on street, and we never had a problem getting a space close to the B & B. One of the qualities of a very good B & B is an engaging host or hostess, and Corey did a great job of talking with us at breakfast for both days of our stay. Interestingly, his wife was in the kitchen both days, but we never met her. In any case, we really enjoyed talking to Corey. Breakfast was good--you have a couple of options, and they are well prepared. Annapolis is a very pricey area, so we were not surprised that a room would be over $300/night. But our Palisade Room did leave a lot to be desired. It was a small room with a small bathroom and tiny closet. There was no place to sit except for a small bench in a side alcove, so you had to be on the bed all the time. The small sink was on a chest next to the door from outside (not in the bathroom). The bathroom did have a very nice walk-in shower. There was a small flat screen TV which was difficult to operate to get the desired channel (even the innkeepers' daughter couldn't figure it out). We could find no hair dryer. Also, although not a big deal for us, be aware that there is no daily housekeeping. And note that if you pay by credit card, an additional charge of around 5% is added to the bill (about $40 for us). No charge if you pay by check or by certain payment processing services. It should be noted that we were aware of this extra charge before we got there. In summary, all of the attributes of a very good B & B were here, except that our room was not what we would have expected for such a high price.

We travel often and try to stay in B&Bs as much as possible. The Inn at Horn Point has clearly earned a top 3 position across the board. Charming hosts, comfortable rooms, lovely decor and delicious , largely organic, breakfasts,…just as their sign promotes.

Inn at Horn Point is the perfect getaway! Carol and Cory are incredible hosts. The house is wonderfully charming and the breakfasts are DELICIOUS! Historic Annapolis is an easy walk from the Inn, but there are still plenty of great restaurants and shops in the Eastport neighborhood. We will definitely be returning!

Lovely inn, wonderful location, terrific breakfasts, engaging and friendly hosts: what more could you want? The bed was super comfortable, and the bathroom was very clean and totally updated. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend. We parked the car when we arrived and walked everywhere. Annapolis is beautiful and there's a lot to see and do; the restaurants are also excellent, especially Vin 909 and Acqua al 2. A great long weekend!

Our hostess Josalyn was very helpful and knowledgeable. The house itself was quite lovely, cozy and well cared for. We will definitely go back.
